Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LIKE RETURNING TO AN OLD FRIEND Having stayed at the Edinburgh Holiday Inn since the days when it was the Post House it is gratifying to see that the current management have not spoilt the views and ambience. If anything that have magnified the experience . Our stay, albeit short(3 days) was like staying with friends and not in a hotel. Also observed the staff's inter actions with children-- better by far then the actions of "supposed 5 star residences". Would recommend. 15 October 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brilliant place to stay If you are lucky enough to be given a rooma t the front of the hotel you will have a view of mountains. When I arrived the hotel reception staff were very helpful and friendly. As an IHG member I was given free internet access and a bar of chocolate - it is worthwhile joining! I had some beauty treatments at the spa which I was very happy with. Room service food was of a high standard. I always have a great nights sleep here as the curtains enable the room to be completelt blacked-out. The hotel would suit business travellers and families alike. Having the zoo next door I'm sure is a bonus, not that I have visited as I'm always on business. The hotel is a short journey to the airport. Last month I brough 26 clients to stay here and all of them complimented the hotel. 14 October 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ideal for the zoo and nice pool On first impressions the hotel is very nice and the lobby and reception area is lovely. I was a little disappointed in the room as there was a bit of a musty smell, but it was clean and comfortable and had plenty of space. We also had an issue with the TV coming on intermittently, including at 7.30 am on the Sunday morning. This was reported to reception who said it must have been a wake up call, but we had not asked for one and does not explain why it came on at other times for no reason. The hotel is next to the zoo and there is a bus stop right outside so it is great for airport and city links. We loved the pool and and my son wanted to go in it on the Sunday but we were told we were not allowed to after we had checked out. I don't really see why we couldn't. Overall, still a nice hotel for the price but I think the customer service could be better. 07 October 2014
