The staff is one of the best and works hard to make sure my stays are as pleasant as possible each time I travel here for business. The facility is very attractive and maintained well. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by addition to prior review After writing a very poor review due to lack of followthrough on a credit card issue--management ( Kenny ) contacted me directly early the next day and proceeded to straighten everything out with the banks involved in the issue. He did it in a professional manner putting my concerns first in every way possible. I was very impressed and happy that this incident was then used as a training tool for staff. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Family Weekend Event Successful Our family from seven states and one foreign country booked 13 rooms and met for a weekend celebration of the matriarch's 100th birthday celebration. The pre-planning was nicely facilitated by Melody S, the sales manager, and we had a very smooth running weekend. All our needs were met with the friendly help of the staff. During the weekend, Assistant Manager Kenny was especially helpful in seeing our needs were met. The kitchen staff was also very helpful and offered to make special items not on the menu to meet the dietary needs of the guest of honor. The level of service exceeded our expectations. This hotel would be a good spot for any group planning a meeting. April 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellenct accomodations for a stay We always stay at the Holiday Inn in Effingham, IL. It is the best hotel there and the staff does a fantastic job of being attentive and courteous. The rooms are always clean and the staff is always able and willing to help when needed. The restaurant is always clean, limited food selection, but that is ok. The food is good and adequate portions. April 6, 2016
