Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very outgoing and friendly staff - At All Levels The most important venue I look for is the front desk staff at check in or check out. I can not say enough for the front desk staff. This alone makes the beginning of my stay very comfrotable before I even get to my room itself. I normally always get the same room and I like the location close to a exit door since I do stay more than one or two days at a time. The room is very clean and neat and overall comfortable. The cleaning staft is very good and respectfull with regards to my personal items I leave in the room. Last but not least since I stay almost twice a week at this hotel it is very comforting to be addressed as Hello Mr. So and So or in many cases by my first name. That shows me that I am more of a guest than just another person staying in a room. I say thanks to the entire staff for caring. 26 March 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent expierence I liked that the end table between the beds was actually big enough to put stuff on it. In most hotels, it is for looks and big enough just for the clock, lamp and phone. That was really nice. Plus, I liked that the bathroom had a soap dish. So, it didn't leave a mess. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Pool and Sauna While the weather outside was cold, we were able to relax in the swimming pool and warm in the sauna! The pool area is expansive and a great atmosphere where you can take some time to enjoy the moment. After the pool, the sauna was a wonderful way to sit back and reflect on the warmth. The staff and management here are friendly and approachable, and do whatever possible to make us feel at home. Michael and Jeff had our room paperwork all ready when we came in, greeted us by name, and acknowledged our membership level. During the stay, Elizabeth and Abed continued the friendly service and hospitaity at the front desk! We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and watching sports on the TV's in the lounge. Lots of great dining choices nearby including hotel restaurant, Lou Malnati's, Sweet Baby Rays; plus many of the well known chains in the mall area. Hotel is nicely furnished. Room was comfortable. I have stayed at this Holiday Inn for 4 nights a week for 4 months and my expectations have been routinely exceeded by all staff members every week. They are very courteous and accommodating towards all guests and respond quickly to any needs. The food is also excellent with a wide variety of food selections on the menu. I would not hesitate to recommend this Holiday Inn for a short or extended stay! 30 January 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average Rooms & Below Average Staff As a traveler who spends an average of 300+ nights a year in hotels, I have plenty of experience in this area. Upon arriving at this Holiday Inn there was absolutely no staff at the desk working. After standing at waiting for 10 minutes, I finally used my cell phone to call the hotel, was answered by "Jeff" and I explained the issue. He hung up the phone and a few seconds later, "Jeff" appeared from the back to check me in. He was extremely irritated with me for having called and not waited though. This was followed by another 5 minutes of him not being able to find my reservation in the computer and claiming that I probably had not made one. Finally finding my reservation, "Jeff" handed me a key and said the room was on the fourth floor, turned around and headed back into the back room. There was no acknowledgement of my platinum rewards status, no greeting, no apology for the delays, no information telling me that I received a free beverage due to my rewards status and overall, no decent customer service. Turning to head upstairs I noticed the sign stating the manager on duty was "Jeff." Really?!?! The hotel is older but well maintained but not worth even considering staying in due to the staff. The Holiday Inn in Rosemont a couple of miles away is a much better choice! 19 January 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing Stay Close to Chicago Nightlife On our last trip to the Chicago area, we enjoyed great dining and a wonderful room at the Elk Grove Village Holiday Inn. The entire staff looked after our every need and we cannot express how welcoming it is to have caring people like Michael, Jeff, Abed, Elizabeth there to help. The property is a short 15 to 20 minutes from O'Hare or the nightlife of the Rosemont district. We highly recommend this Holiday Inn when your travels take you to the Chicago area. 13 January 2013

I found out that this hotel didn't charge for parking and that they would shuttle you to and from the Airport. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Comfort with a great price! Stayed here for my hubby's birthday and we ate at the restaurant and had drinks when we returned from Casino in DesPlaines. The staff very friendly and focused on our stay and comfort. The fire alarm went off at 3 a.m. due to a prankster but the staff acted quickly and appropriately! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place, but note the shuttle times Everything I experenced once on the hotel property was just fine. It was nice and clean and the staff was friendly, but I was quite disappointed by the complementary shuttle service. The main reason I picked this hotel was because it offered shuttle service to and from the airport, and I was quite disappointed in the hours offered by the service. The first shuttle leaves in the morning at 6 a.m. and the last pickup at the airport is 10:30 p.m. I arrived at O'Hare after 10:30 p.m. on a Sunday night and it was a $40 cab ride! Thankfully I did have a mid-morning departure, and the shuttle left promptly at the top of the hour which worked out great. Just be aware that if you have an early morning flight, the shuttle likely won't work for you. 27 December 2012

I have been staying here every month for 3 years and the front desk people have always been exceptionally nice, as of recent , Michael has gone out of his way to accommodate. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great amenities! Attached Bar/Restaraunt was nice to have. I like the fire pit that was always burning inside the garden. Chicago in late November is chilly but fire was nice. Bed was very comfortable! Nice size tv in the room which featued a sleep timer. The only down side I experienced was the price for food and snacks in the hotel and bar. But then again, it's Chicago and everything is high there! Beers were cold and the food was hot! Very satisfied with my week long stay there! The service was fantastic, starting wth the pick-up at the airport and convenient 15 minute trip to the hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Satisfed and would definitely return! We stayed at the Elk Grove Holiday Inn after returning from a European trip. It was nice to get out of the busier bustle of Chicago, and easy to relax. Very easy to reach from the airport, and overall satisfied with the room. We stayed in a King Premier room on the fourth floor. It did get a bit noisy with planes flying overheard, however, we were too beat to even hear that! Would definitely return! 08 November 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service Our day started out miserable. We missed our O'hare flight to Myrtle Beach. We were able to make an online reservation from O'Hare. Sandra assisted us. Recognizing we were quite upset with the circumstances, she assisted us in getting settled in. We were able to check in early, she sent the shuttle back for us at O'Hare. Greeted us with a snack and drink to select. Above and beyond assistance. Great hotel, nice breakfast buffet, good beds, Great service from all of the staff, especially Sandra. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rented room for wedding reception I stayed here last weekend as part of a bridal party. The guy at check in was very friendly. The waitress at the restaurant was great. Even the security guards were really nice when they asked us to take our after party down to the atrium as the room next door was complaining that we were too loud..and they were right, we were way too loud for 2am. The deal given on the rooms for the wedding was super affordable as well. Great place to stay and great place for a wedding. oh they also have an outdoor fire place for anyone to use and an awesome indoor pool! 12 October 2012

The shuttle does not run continuously, just once per hour. The hotel is old and is in a light industrial area. The room was not clean. I would not stay there again. 29 September 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed, lots of air traffic We visited Elk Grove to visit a local business. The location to the Elk Grove business park was great but the planes passing by overhead to & from O'Hare were a bit much. The hotel restaurant had great drink specials (which may be a requirement if you want a good night's sleep)! Rooms were clean but not up-to-date and seemed worn. The hallways in the hotel are laid out a bit funny and it's hard to access the common areas depending on your room location. I find Holiday Inn Express to be a much better value and experience. I've been consistently disappointed by Holiday Inn. 19 July 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I only stay here Every time i stay in Elk Grove Village i only stay at this Hoilday Inn....the rooms are great and the staff even better..kind of has that Cheers feeling about the place as the manger greats me as if hes known me his whole time we went up to the room we was given and nothing in the room was none, no sheets on the bed or anything, we wnet back down to let them know about it and to get a new room and the man upgrade us to a great room....boy was we surprised, i just wanted another room and i would have been happy but giving us a better room was more then i could have hoped for...its little things like that that make me keep coming back for more.....tip: go swimming at 6am when the pool opens and you will have it all to your self for hours...also GREAT 10 July 2012
