This will be my new choice of stay when coming to the Fort Myers, Florida area from here on out. It was clean, friendly, and professionally staffed. Angelica was awesome at the front desk.

Room was very nice. Enjoyed the fire pit but it needed to be cleaned.

January 5th we were greeted by Wendy who was very helpful, then checked into our second floor lakeview room, very untidy, toe nails, hair on the floor, not vacuumed , dust on the desk and lamps, smudges on the mirror, very disappointing to say the least. Complained to Wendy, who sent up the Head Housekeeper who acknowledged the noted failures to clean and agreed to move us to a new room. Moved to a fourth floor lakeview room which was nominally better. Not vacuumed properly, stain on the bedcover, and similar issues with the mirror, Head Housekeeper offered to have the staff come clean it again! Wow two rooms on two separate floors having issues, unlucky us! Wendy felt so bad she gave us complimentary breakfast for the next morning! Not necessary but appreciated nonetheless!
Later that evening we were helped by Nate, Shuttle driver in making/finding us a cup of coffee as the blonde waitress was rude and behaved poorly and was dismissive in her actions, and did not want to assist us with a cup from the restaurant, complained to her Supervisor but no feedback on outcome was received back. I became a recent IHG Club member, (means nothing) after seeing this property on the web, and thought it looked good we have found that the information and description of being a newer property, with high customer satisfaction that it would be time to give the Holiday Inn a try, regrettably our bad luck I guess, wrong place at the wrong time. Property has so much to offer and with only two shining lights Wendy and Nate, I think the future will be dim! I travel frequently and hope that if I stay at another Holiday Inn again I do not experience the same dissatisfaction. #1 and the #2 chains are close by maybe they might be a better choice!
