From the time of telephone conversation to make the reservation, to the check-n, all the way through check out the following day our experience was great. The room was quiet and comfortable with more than adequate covers and pillows. Room Service was great. There was no room service menu in the room. I called down and talked with a very friendly guy, Robert, who went over a few of the items with me. I was going to walk down and get a menu. Instead Robert brought one up to the room. Service was quick, prices reasonable. I will stay there again! At check out, I talked with the clerk about things to do around Gainsville. She gave me a map of the area plus some pamphlets. We did a tour of the historic square and spent over three hours in the cemetery (map with historic graves marked). It was wonderful!

Had initially made a group reservation over the phone. Received the email confirmation and all of the names were misspelled although I spelled them for the person on the phone. I went on-line trying to edit the information but not able to do so for names, so I used the on-line chat service which was wonderful. Everything corrected and then sent to the hotel to pay for the group with a credit card authorization. Three times, I tried to get confirmation etc regarding billing and responses were, we didn't get anything, send it again, the person you want hasn't shown up yet. The day of the group reservation, 3 of 7 were billed correctly. The 4 that were billed had to use their personal credit card to pay for the room. Tried to get this fixed and the person at the hotel says...We have no Authorization Form...please FAX it. That was call Number 4. I gave up and reimbursed the 4 members for the cost of their stay and credit card billing...The room was fine to include breakfast.. Daytime staff were lacking...shift change and evening staff were wonderful!

Stayed here with my boyfriend for a mini vacation and to attend a conference down the street. The room was nice and clean (though the refrigerator was a bit small to handle two of their take-out containers). The staff was quite friendly and resolved problems as quick as possible. The elevator at the back end does make a scraping noise when closing which can start to grate on nerves but it's not used too often so not too bad. Within walking distance of food which is nice. All in all we enjoyed our stay here.

I had to ask all the questions as no standard info was offered. No newspaper (or online version) available in the morning. Comfortable room, however! Evening staff very congenial.
