Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Last time I stayed at this hotel, I had a great stay and wrote a good review. Sadly this time was not so good. Check in was slow. Not enough staff on reception. The hotel operates its own loyalty scheme as well as IHG rewards. This slows down check in, and is confusing. This stay I was given 10% off, next time I qualify for a free breakfast. It's a nice idea but it's confusing and slows down check in. We had booked to leave the car at the hotel while we were away. This requires two further forms to filled out. Wold be simpler and quicker if we could do this on-line at the time of booking. We were both given upgrades to executive rooms, thank you. My room was fine, but my father who was travelling with me, was given a poor room. My father's room had two lights which were not working, and the TV had sound but no picture. Reception staff tried to sort it out while we were at dinner. They got the TV working, and replaced one missing light bulb. However the main ceiling light was not fixed. My room had two bottles of complimentary water and a chocolate bar. None of these items were in my father's room, which was only next door. Room standards were very inconsistent. I had intended to treat my dad to dinner. However, when we came to pay I was not allowed to charge it to my room because my card had not been authorised at reception. When I was checked in, I was given the option to preauthorise the card or pay. It was not explained that "paying" meant I could not charge to the room. This was very embarrassing and my father ended up paying for the meal. I will reconsider which hotel I use on my next airport stay. This hotel has too many processes and procedures which are not guest friendly. 24 February 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Value For Money- Excellent Standard Stayed at this hotel prior to my holiday and on return as well of which this was excellent.I was very impressed by the level of customer service and value provided and this met my expectations for the Holiday Inn Group.This is easy located and has very good facilities and a good restuarant etc.Nothing was too much trouble for the staff which is a very refeshing these days- plus I had previously stayed at this hotel the year before - and again I would stay even better. I can certainly state that I will be not only using this hotel again but what the IHG has to provide - Well Done!! 24 February 2015
