Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Almost Good The oveall Hotel experience is a good one, having stayed here for the last 10 years on many occassions each year, I have found the staff to be very varied in experience. the bars and restaraunt staff are friendly, helpful and personable, the reception staff can be confusing, and some lack the ability to understand a guests needs. Positives:- well presented in the main, well placed on the airport. Negatives :- food can be varied in quality and is a little expensive for what is provided, reception staff are not as customer focused as they should be. Some items in the rooms do not work, bidets and some showers can be very tempremental. 26 August 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OK, not great. We were warmly welcomed and taken care of by check-in staff. though our reservation was misspaced, it was found and a room given. We had booked using miles however, and feel we were given a room to suit not paying cash. it felt more like a converted storage closet or janitors room. Small, the safe didn't work, nor the pants press, wifi was not free unless you are a rewards member, no complimentary breakfast. 25 August 2014

Asked for a quiet room and were given a quiet room at the back of the hotel. Staff were friendly and the meal in the restaurant was very good Would recommend this hotel as it is so convenient for the airport. It may be a nice touch to have biscuits in the room and more milk available. . 25 August 2014

Should have been paid in advance to get supposed deal but reservations department had not entered the payment. Fortunately had a credit card with me to pay. Not impressed! Very noisy fan in the bathroom which could not be switched off. Otherwise ok. 25 August 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Stay here but don't eat here The rooms were fine, as with any holiday inn, but the food was very poor. Food and drinks were extortionately expensive. £7 for a glass of wine!!!! We were not asked if food was ok until we went to pay. Felt like they were trying to push through too many customers and not caring if customers were happy or not. My wife was up during the night being extremely sick, not good for an early flight!. This is the second time we have sent feedback about this stay and obviously no-one has bothered to read the original response, so this one is more detailed. 24 August 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good stay and so handy for airport Bed was a bit soft for me. But I was only there for a night. Breakfast server was not good. It took quite a time to get a coffee and tea and then she gave it to another table. She then took my coffee cup away to bring me a tea cup but she never returned. I just took a coffee cup from another table. The breakfast was nice though. Reception staff were excellent. Very helpful. 22 August 2014

Tried to get a meal in restaurant but was told it would be over an hour wait not what you need after a long journey!! Had room service in the end which I was told would be quick but again close to an hour and not a very good standard 22 August 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by When will they do something about the Doors Generally this is a good hotel but it suffers from a severe design failure. The main entrance from the airport is through a double door system which leads directly into the bar (not the lobby). This stupid double door system ensures that both doors are open at the same time allowing freezing cold air from outside to penetrate the entire bar area every time someone goes in or out. This makes the bar area totally uncomfortable as the temperature rises and drops with each client's arrival or departure. I suggest the double door system be adjusted such that one door at a time opens. Can't be that difficult! 21 August 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to usual standard Unfortunately the room seemed to have been a smoking room at one time. There was always a slight smell of smoke. The staff did offer to get housekeeping to freshen it however this wasn't going to solve the problem. The extractor fan in the bathroom was continuously on and loud and a tile around the toilet was broken. A little disappointing and as I said, not up to usual holiday Inn standard 19 August 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Awful service, nice room. Nice room - clean and comfortable as you would expect from a Holiday Inn. Unfortunately, the service was nowhere near as good as the room. Accidentally booked 2 nights separately and when I arrived the reception couldn't consolidate my booking so I had to check in again for the second day. Breakfast was ok but the waiter never brought the coffee we asked for - had to get up and ask somebody else to get it. When I arrived home, I was surprised to see that I had been charged for my second night despite the fact I have the receipt from work confirming it was prepaid. Also found a random £20 charge taken off my card. Naturally, I rang to see if it was an error and was told that, contrary to my receipt, my room for the second night had not been paid for and the £20 charge was because I authorised my debit card and I would get it back. A week later and I am still waiting! 13 August 2014

Typically, the Hotel is ok, nothing special. On this occasion, the shower did not drain, left standing in 6 inches of water, and the cleanliness of the shower curtain was not what should be expected. 11 August 2014

Superb customer service from restaurant staff, bar staff and reception staff however the cleaners of the rooms let the hotel down. Would have expected to have room made up every day and toiletries replenished however this did not happen, even asked the reception desk if this should have and they confirmed that i should have happened. Shame as this spoilt an enjoyable time in Glasgow. 10 August 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Don`t stay at this one! Many years using Holiday Inn hotels this is the worst I have visited. As an IHG member the lady kindly upgraded me to a room I would normally reside. The restaurant and bar staff were pleasent but allowed queres to form. My greatest surprise was to come as I retired to my room on a warm evening. The air conditioning was so loud I couldn`t sleep and turned it off but then was disturbed with the heat. When the morning came a shave and shower turned into a very unpleasant experience as removal of the sink plug brought brown sludge to fill the bath , hence no shower today. We had 4 people staying at the hotel and a conference room booked at some expence but when my experience was reviewed by reception the cost of a couple of drinks was removed from the bill. What a valued customer I felt. 08 August 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What you'd hope for Stayed for several nights doing a work contract. Nice room - clean and comfortable. I slept well and was never disturbed by noise from outside Breakfast was decent, with a good range of tastes catered for and friendly efficient service from the staff. Coming back from working late, I found the bar staff, night porters and desk staff also very helpful and friendly. Cleaning and room service staff were cheerful and unobtrusive. All in all, exactly what I'd hoped for in a hotel of this type. Very pleased! 08 August 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Stay at Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport The stay was nice, although my room seemed to be a bit old (noisy plumbing and a door that slammed shut hard). However, this was more than made up for by the friendly and engaging staff everywhere. One note, as someone returning home to Scotland from working overseas. I also stayed at the Holiday Inn Edinburgh Zoo. It was noticeable that in Edinburgh one could rarely here a Scottish voice whereas in Glasgow most staff certainly sounded local. I don't know if that was a conscious decision because of the Commonwelath Games, and don't mean to criticise others working hard, but it is nice to hear a homely front line voice when at the hotel. Lovely room with comfortable beds shame they can't make up the room and replenish toiletries.. Checked with reception should have been every day of our 3 night stay and not just the once. Reception staff, bar staff, restaurant staff can't fault at all, great customer service just the room cleaners let the hotel down 07 August 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good stay for the Commonwealth Games We only stayed for one night but we generally had a very good time. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We arrived earlier than the normal check in time but the staff were able to expedite the cleaning of the room so we were able to check in after only a short wait. The room was a little bit on the small side and could do with an update as the décor and furniture is looking a bit tired. The room was clean and tidy though and the beds were comfortable. The only bad point of the stay were the bar staff on duty at night who were not as friendly as the other staff we encountered and were not overly keen to serve us any food. In the end we gave up on getting food and went to bed! 07 August 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Well presentable with an excellant service standards The hotel was vary clean and tidy, with a vary relaxed feel to it, the staff were vary friendly and helpful, I had 2 rooms over my stay at the hotel 702 which had a mini fridge which was great for keeping the odd few beers cold, but after a week I was moved to the upper level 924 which did not have a fridge but the views were outstanding, room was clean and modern, I dinned in the bar 05 August 2014
