Arrived at hotel at the arranged time of 2.00am after a 5 hour flight from Tenerife. When we got to the room, the toiletries in the room were half used and there was a used sanitary towel in the bin provided. Certainly not what we expected!
In fairness, when I went back to Reception, the Duty Manager overheard my conversation with the Receptionist and immediately offered an upgraded room and added 5,000 points to my IHG Rewards account.

Our room was cold, the temperature could not be adjusted and there were no blankets for the beds
My wife ordered a glass of house white wine with her evening meal and was charged £8.50 for a 'medium' glass
My wife ordered breast of chicken for her main course. This was served with pickled red cabbage. This is not acceptable as a vegetable for this meal. The meal should have been sent back, but after a day's travelling we decided against this

Excellent stay wonderful staff first time in a holiday inn and extremely impressed
Well located and easily accessible
Eat in the restaurant and the food was amazing
Got breakfast as part of our room and the pancakes machine is out of this world
