King bed room was a little "close", but OK for 2 people not going to be in there long. Great place to stay. 17 December 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by My home away from home. The Guelph Holiday Inn and Conference Centre is a good hotel. I have been staying there since the 1990's. The front desk is usually amazing with helpful information. They will call a cab or give you touring advice. The internet service is great and the hotel has incredible people who make sure you are able to access what you need. Because the hotel is not as busy as it use to be, the service and food in the restaurant is good, but the menu could use an update and a little more pizzaz. I don't like that the tables are made up and sit collecting dust in the glasses until you use them. In the morning the cream and coffee milk sit in a bowl on your table. If you go for breakfast after 9:30am, the cream is warm and maybe sour. Mine was a couple of times over the years, so it's important to check. I like that the Holiday Inn in Ottawa keeps the tables clear until you sit down, then they set you up. In the rooms, you can request the kind of pillow you want (I love that) and the shampoo and cream the hotel provides is awesome. If you need extra hangers just ask. The best new item for this stay were the curtain clips you could use to make sure the darkening curtains stayed closed tight. 13 December 2014

The conference room we used was a perfect set up. The only negative would be some minor maintenance issues that I generally see because of the type of business I'm in but these will likely be addressed in the near future when maintenance sees them. 10 December 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff I stayed for a total of 1.5 months of this year. I think that this hotel staff is very friendly despite my poor English. I am going to stay in this hotel for a business trip in 2015. That is why, I have some request. 1)Could you add the soup for breakfast buffet? 2)Because I want to use the microwave oven, could you set it up at the common use space? 3)I want you often to change a menu of the dinner of the restaurant, because I havee tired. But I appreciate the staff of the restaurant very much, because they are very kindness despite my acting spoiled. 4)I want the precision of the card key to improve, because the card key often does not work. 04 December 2014

I've stayed here frequently over the last few years and it is generally well maintained and my stay is almost always enjoyable. This time they gave an interior room with a balcony overlooking the pool and dining room which means I didn't have an exterior window which I would have preferred. I didn't ask to me moved so I don't know if that would have been possible. Anyway, the room was warmer than I usually like it so I played around with the A/C even though it was November and pretty cold outside. Room temp started @ 23 C and with the A/C on full all night it only brought it down to 21. But still overall it is a decent hotel and I don't hesitate to recommend it. Next time I book I'll specifically request a room that has an exterior window. 01 December 2014
