Excellent and efficient Desk and room staff. Rooms themselves were excellent. Restaurant only average but overall stay was highly repeatable.

My family and I stayed here for a weekend for my sisters wedding. The family room exceeded expectations with plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. The staff were very friendly and courteous, nothing was too much trouble. The wedding was slick, flowed without any hitches and my sister had so much confidence in the staff that she never worried once about her wedding ( a big bonus for any bride). I loved this hotel ( not your typical holiday inn!) and would definitely stay here again.
The only downside is the service charge which is added to your bill if you are charging drinks to your room ( and we are not talking room service). It is optional and we had ours removed at checkout

Without doubt, with my wife requiring yet another visit to the hospital, the understanding and kindness of the staff was a joy. All were first class and cared. The new manager Barnaby, appears to be on a par with Nick. And, that takes some doing!
Of course I could be pedantic and fussy ,intentionally finding fault with this or that but it would have been a hard.
Once again they helped make an unpleasant visit to Guildford a holiday - the venue is aptly named.

Heating was not working in room and bathroom and staff had to bring a free standing heater which they did promptly.
Sauna in fitness centre was not working.
Wi-Fi is charged for. This should be included as it is in every other hotel I stay in.
Check out procedures need to be improved.
Staff are very courteous and room service was a highlight of the stay.
Overall poor value for a hotel in this location - it should be excellent at this price,

Hotel was OK and reasonable health suite facilities. The most disappointing aspect of the stay was the high cost, average quality and poor food service in the bar and restaurant areas. Extremely slow, some items didn't arrive and were brought after the meal had been eaten and a complete lack of initiative and understanding of quality service.

Stayed at hotel as part of a wedding package. The hotel put on a great wedding package for my son.. The Groom and the stay was very enjoyable with everything nearly perfect.

Stayed for 1 night. Great value for money, used the restaurant - food of a good standard. Staff very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend.
