We came for a wedding in Manhattan. The group pricing that we offered was very favorable. It is the original reason that we chose this hotel. But when we got there we were very pleased.

upper level room facing the Hudson River - outstanding view (perhaps because we are IHG rewards members ?). Most others in our party had unimpressive views of other bldgs.
The staff was very responsive. When we left the "Do Not Disturb" tag out, they slipped a note under the door, telling us what number to call if we needed anything.
We were extremely pleased w/ the staff in the associated restaurant. At the last minute we moved a departing-day brunch from a nearby restaurant because their service was too slow. The staff in the hotel restaurant (St George Tavern) went the extra mile to accommodate us, opening up and servicing a room that provided plenty of space and privacy, even though the server had to climb stairs to take care of us.
One problem, elevator capacity is a little too small, so that guests on lower floors keep seeing full elevators in the morning. Lobby is also small and extra amenities are limited. But for a clean, safe, friendly place to stay in NYC, it was great. [Less]
