Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic service From the moment that both my wife and I checked in to the Holiday Inn Golden Mile,Hong Kong we were given excellent service. At the check in desk I was informed about the services available to me as a Priority Club Gold member and informed about the Executive Club upgrade which we took advantage of during our stay. The room was excellent,spacious and as one might expect in the Far East very tidy and clean. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate with an excellent choice of both Western and Chinese cuisine. The shuttle bus service back to the airport was arranged promptly. I should point out that even before we arrived from Taipei I received an e mail from Theresa asking for my flight details and whether I would like a shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel and where to report on arrival in Hong Kong.This went according to plan on arrival in Hong Kong. We have stayed in several Holiday Inn hotels in many parts of the world but the stay in Hong Kong must rate as one of the best. We intend to visit Hong Kong again next year on the way back from Taiwan and will most certainly book this hotel again. In summary,a friendly and dedicated team of staff in an excellent environment. 24 February 2013

The bed is big enough, good for family, we stayed in 2 adult and 2 children. You cannot expect to much for hotel in hong kong especial for mid range hotel. However this hotel fulfill the standard of holidayinn. 24 February 2013

I booked a room with 2 bed room, and non-smoking request vis internet. 2. when I checked it, there was no room with 2 bed, and no other room available for my upgrade even I tried to pay by myself. so I accept a room with 1 bed, non-smoking room. 3. when I got in the room, the smell was terrible, I can not stand for that. 4. I found the frontdest again, and told him the whole situation. he promissed me he was going to give me another room later. 5. I did get a non-somking room at night time. I compromised to accept a room with 1 bed, but the frontdesk told me I never mentioned 2-bed room in the booking reservation, it's hard to believe that, I re-check my reservation, I did requestion a room with 2 bed, non-smoking. I can accept the arrangement of giving me a room with only one bed, but I can not accpet your guys said I didn't mention it when I booked the room, either he was lying or your computer system has some bugs that made him could not realize customer' need in the very first beginning. btw, he was politeful, so, I tried to convince myself, your booking system has something wrong about reading customre's detail request. 22 February 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Have stayed in this property for over a decade, charged many many room nights and have redeemed many many points for free nights as well. Most trips are hassel free, but as happens sometimes someone drops the ball. The ball was dropped this last visit in late January at the check-in, housekeeping and the club lounge. Had a long discussion with management concerning the issues and hope for improvements in the future. As a regular return guest you like to be treated accordingly and not made to feel embarassed or unwelcome. The change to free in room internet is a big plus. 04 February 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Home From Home Travelling a lot around Asia and away from Home it is sometimes hard to relax, This is something that never happens when I Stay at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile. The staff are so friendly and extremely helpful. From the minute I arrive I feel like I am in my second home. The rooms are always clean and they will always do their best to get you checked into your room whenever you arrive. There is plenty of opportunity to relax with the swimming pool and sunbathing area on the 18th floor or if you feel more energetic there is a great Gym. The restaurant's in the hotel are excellent and offer a great variety of food. All I can say is thanks to everyone there for making my stay so nice 04 February 2013

From front desk, to restaurant staff, to concierge staff, they all gave me an impression that they want to serve you with their best effort. Excellent! I want to thank all hotel staff and hotel management team, you did a good job! It's customer service quality which really differentiates one hotel from another. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reliable as always When in Hong Kong and you want to stay on the Kowloon side, Holiday Inn Golden Mile is always a safe choice. The location is King. And the rooms, while not the most updated, remain comfortable and kept clean all the time. And if memory serves me right, this is one of a very few H.I. properties which recognize my Platinum Elite status from three days before arrival to day of arrival at the airport up to my day-to-day stay at the hotel. The express pre-check-in at the airport via an online link is a welcome arrangement. It gives them time to ready up my room so that by the time I arrive there, everything is in order. Free wifi (for 4 devices) is also appreciated. The restaurant prices are quite steep, but the surrounding area has fab (and cheap) dining options. Keep up the good work! 29 January 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by A disappointing repeat. Hotel although well positioned is just too old. Took awhile to find out room wifi signal is so poor that it was a waste of time trying to use it. Complaint to the hotel IT staff was futile, IT staff advised he'll tell reception to change my room but nothing happened. Night reception staff is considered lazy. Wanted to settle my 2 room bills at about 11.00 pm the night before check-out but told to do it in the following morning. Have stayed in this hotel in the past but will never go back after this last experience. 23 January 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Dependable Hotel within Walking Distance of Main Sights and Star Ferrry The location of this hotel was the main reason I booked it, and all the main sights of Tsim Sha Tsui were within easy walking distance (Star Ferry, Cultural Centre, Space Museum, Kowloon Park, Ocean Terminal). The room was adequately big and pleasantly appointed, with a seating area and decent desk space for writing along with free wi-fi. Service was very good, with the front desk staff helpful with bus times, giving small change and posting postcards. Definitely a satisfactory experience and I would return there. A couple of small details: the bar was a bit expensive and limited in drinks choice; the bathroom door made a terrible noise when opened (a bit of WD-40 oil would fix that problem); and the flush handle on the toilet had to be gently manipulated to prevent water from running through the cistern all night. 22 January 2013

Only 2 stops from Central by the MTR, walking distance from the Star Ferry, close to Canton Road shopping center and many more. The hotel is very welcoming, I've been coming here forever and they've always updated the style accordingly. I stay in the Executive Floor and the staff are very helpful. The beddingds are very comfortable and the bathroom is huge. The whole hotel is very wholesome and lovely. The location is also perfect. It is along the long stretch of nathan road and close to canton road, china ferry terminal, shopping area!!! It is also beside the MTR which connects you to the whole city. The service is also superb. The staff are very accommodating and attends to our needs shortly. The lobby is also beautiful with a distinct scent that is truly Holiday Inn. The executive lounge is very below standard with poor food offerings for morning and cocktails. Overall still ok hotel but as I said it needs a good facelift. 15 January 2013

The hotel is in great location,near the MTR station ,very suitable for family with young children. The staffs are helpful and and speak English well so we did not find any difficulties to communicate with them. Their hospitality erase our image of old HK people style. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location The prime benefit of staying at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile was that it was conveniently located with easy access to the MTR and Star ferry and walking distance to many restaurants and malls & shops. The front office staff were courteous and efficient. The carpets in our room was in need of a change as it gave a strong mossy odour which gets circulated in the air-conditioning and makes it uncomfortable. The service in the restaurant Bistro on the Mile was not of high standard and the attitude of the staff was generally not pleasant. Overall a fair experience but I feel the management can do more in order to make it a "value for money" experience for the guest. 06 January 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel for seeing Hong Kong, great for children The hotel's location was the primary reason we decided on it - right on top of the Tsim Sha Tsui metro station, providing us with central access to nearly all of Hong Kong. Octopus cards for the metro completed that option, making traveling around effortless. However, when we arrived we were impressed by the hotel itself. Not that we expected anything bad, but the staff were very friendly and courteous, the breakfast buffet was excellent, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The free shuttle connecting to the airport express, helpful concierge with maps and suggestions, and easy walking distance to the harbour (just a few blocks, easily accomplished by even our 4 year old) all were pleasant discoveries. We had three small children with us and the hotel staff were kind and engaging with them as well, so it felt very family friendly. The few times we tried room service, the food was excellent and prompt, but there are numerous restaurants in the area as well. The price was a bit expensive compared to my expectations, but compared to others in Hong Kong it was reasonable and I believe I was in part a victim of the exchange rate back to my home currency (can't help that). If I had it to do all over again, I would **absolutely** come back to this hotel. 02 January 2013
