I was traveling to Sugarland with coworkers for the week, and we booked 4 separate rooms. Upon entering the hotel, we noticed a funny smell in the lobby. We checked in and it took us a while to get to the rooms because one of the two elevators was closed for "Upgrades" in the middle of some conference that had the hotel completely booked. After getting to the room which seemed nice enough, I tried to use the internet for a few minutes before going to dinner. It was so slow that I used the cell service on my phone.
We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. The waitress was very pleasant, but the food took forever and then it all looked prepackaged. We were not expecting a fancy meal, but with the amount of time that took, we were expecting it to be a lot better than it was.
I woke up in the morning with my head completely stuffed up because something in the room caused my allergies to go crazy. I started getting ready and found that the tub/shower does not work at all.
With all of the problems that we had, we decided to switch hotels and checked out after one night instead of the original 4 nights. I explained at the front desk upon checkout all of the problems that I had with the room. The person that I spoke with sympathized and said she would talk to the manager about getting some of my room refunded for my trouble and points deposited into my account.
The points were deposited into my account, but no refund was ever issued.
Upon checking into the second hotel, the person checking us in told us that the hotel we had been in had flooded a few weeks ago. The cleanup was not completed and the flooding was not disclosed at check in, so we had no idea that we were checking into a place that most likely had a lot of mold.
While all of the staff was very nice, I would not recommend this hotel.

Aside of the excellent overnight stay. I misplaced my two of my mobile devices and discovered this a day later.
I had notified the hotel and a message was given to the morning staff. Jose gave me an additional phone number to contact. He said he would deliver the message to the front desk. The number he gave me was in the event there might have been an unforeseen oversight.
The front desk contacted me by 9:00am, however I did locate my misplaced devices at home.
Followup and contingency...

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Pappro Worst hotel stay ever
Let me start by saying I never have written a poor review in four years of heavy traveling. I have only stayed at IHG family hotels. This was by far the worst all around experience I have ever received at a hotel. This will be a well rounded review as me and my 3 coworkers all booked this hotel and used all of the features this hotel has to offer.
Me and my group book 4 rooms at the same time. We are all Spire level and use AAA. We all get varying rates we find out later when comparing(way overpriced) a night for Monday - Friday (IHG wont let me post the price here)We enjoy a nice full service hotel with restaurant and exercise facility after working 12 - 14 hour days over lets say an express. First impressions hotel looks nice from the outside. Inside reeks of what is described as kitty litter, mold, even cat urine by another guest we don't even know that hears us commenting. They have put out a small potpurri to try to freshen up the large lobby. The check in process is fine they put me in a room on the top floor. One of the elevators seems to be broken so it takes me 15 minutes to go up or comedown each time, due to a full house guest wise. The room is dated but clean and first glance. The ac vents in the bathroom and living area are covered with mold and dust. The smell from downstairs has lingered up the elevator all the way to the top floor and I smell it in the hall. Pull out my laptop, no wifi. I mean the connections there, but they dont set a password so everyone in the world is using the same wifi and literally times out time and time again when simply trying to get to Google.com. So much for doing any work from the hotel this week. We go downstairs to the restaurant as it already been a 14 hour day and we are hungry. After a 15 minute elevator ride down (smelling the cat urine) between the wait, the stopping at every floor I hit the restaurant. Menu seems ok , no real Healthier option but I can make it work. Food seems microwaved. Waitress offers bread after the meal, not before the 45 minute wait we sat their waiting for our food. BTW restaurant was not busy and took us 45 mins. To see the first plate. Went back up to my room of mold and cat urine and decided to check out and move to another hotel for the remainder of the week, of course doing this on my phone since there is no wifi.
The only two pros to this hotel. Staff was friendly but seems powerless to do anything to satisfy you. Exercise suite was nice, spent an hour on the treadmill and it felt great, updated machines and media in there.
