Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 total lack of managment response to concerns raised We stayed at your hotel 23-25th October. Our experience at your hotel was very mixed. Cannot fault the cleanliness and comfort of our room. The hotel is well situated and plenty of on site parking. The view from our room over the marina was delightful. However, the service from some staff at time of stay was lacking and subsequently. No response to concerns raised via verbal feedback given to receptionist when checking out, questionnaire left in 'postbox' or from head office via subsequent email. Our concerns are, we ordered newspapers for the first morning which were delivered incorrectly. When bringing this to the attention of the receptionist her response was very much 'the computer says no'- no attempt to rectify the mistake which she acknowledged was not ours. On the first evening there was a large wake in the only bar and this was raucous, children running around, chanting and annoying behaviour. The second night, there was a wedding party with disco, again in the only bar. On both nights this meant there was no where to sit and have a quiet drink. In fact on the second night we had to sit in the reception area with our drinks, along with other non-wedding guests- felt like 'gatecrashers' in the only bar which was very noisy. On the second day the breakfast staffing levels were inadequate to cope with the number of hotel guests. Staff while doing their best were polite, however, food items not replenished , pancake machine not working and cold, dirty plates. We were phoned at home two days prior to our stay and told that there were wedding parties on both days and asked if we would like to book tables to dine as it would be busy. No mention at this point about the only bar being used for private functions. At checkout I completed the questionnaire outlining these concerns and also shared them with the receptionist- she said that the manager would respond- as yet nothing!! An email was then sent via 'contact us' on your website and again no response to date. As frequent users of hotels for both business and pleasure purposes this response is totally unacceptable and has seriously tainted our view of 'Holiday Inns'. A prompt apology would have been welcomed but we still await. We can only assume you do not care or take customer concerns seriously. November 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and efficient hotel in an excellent location This hotel is in an excellent location alongside Hull Marina. On fine days you can eat your meals outside just yards from the multitude of boats and with a bit of imagination you could mistake it for a marina abroad. The hotel is very clean and efficient and the hotel staff are friendly. Some rooms have balcony's overlooking the marina. Hull shopping centre is only a two minute walk away and there is adequate parking facilities. November 5, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by one night I attended a wedding at the hotel. Everything to do with the wedding: room; parking, and staff, were fine. My only gripe is the price of beverages and drinks. The hotel has a good location on the marina close to The old town, museums and the deep. November 4, 2015
