Overall a good quality, modern, clean hotel with courteous and helpful staff. Good business facilities and free internet connection (should be standard in all hotels). Rooms were clean, although thought the beds were too firm but appreciate this is subjective.
Compared to other Holiday Inns the breakfast experience requires attention. Missing table utensils, poor selection of fruit, slow service for coffee, croissants all gone, no butter available.
Previous evening room service was efficient and friendly but was missing condiments that I had requested. Also very little choice on room service for vegetarians. All of these points are very basic and should be simple to address. Had they have been right in the first place I would have awarded full marks.

My expectations weren't high and rightly so. Large conspicuous stain on the room carpet, the handles fell off EVERY drawer in the bedside unit, three sets of conflicting information given by staff concerning the time breakfast was served, confusion booking taxis - all in the space of a one night stay.

... the prerequisites for a good hotel! Helpful, if new, staff dealt efficiently with questions and food/beverage orders.
A new hotel but one I am sure will improve as the systems bed in. Not sure how they will resolve the bathroom mirror being fitted upside down - you'll need to stand on a chair to see yourself in the demisted zone (room117)!
If only the cricket had been as good as the hotel and room! (for reference - ODI against India - we were thrashed!)
