Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff really make the difference I stay here regularly and the hotel whilst a touch dated and needing a little refreshing in places gives decent value for money. The staff are great, recognise your needs and are onto everything. The last time I stayed the heating had broken, they had in room heater which were already keeping the room warm and they showed you how to use the heaters. All in all a really decent hotel with an exceptional staff. 16 January 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cold tired bedroom No heating and none available until the new year so what was wrong with telling me before I checked in or even when I checked in? I got an offer of a heater for the bedroom but nothing to warm the bathroom and had to ask for two extra blankets as it was bitter.i have stayed here several times as it is close to my family but am disgusted with the lack of any offers of reimbursement as I had prepaid or come back next time and have a free night. All I got was a sorry there is nothing we can do. The head office gave me some more reward points but the local hotel manager was not to be seen. They have another hotel on the other side of town so could have easily offered a transfer or a refund as Other hotels had rooms. I do hope that they will get in contact with me with some offer to make me feel better about this chain! 08 January 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Heating broke down, but still good! We definitely picked the wrong week to visit, as over Christmas the central-heating system broke down, due to a burst pipe. That being said, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, and all the rooms were furnished with portable heaters, so we couldn't really complain. Other than that, the room was very comfortable and our average price per night was very reasonable, though breakfast was not included. Wi-fi was free when you joined the IHG rewards scheme. I would recommend this hotel, and would stay here again. 31 December 2014

Breakfast was as lovely as ever, even though I invited my grandchildren to run amok during it......the staff there were brilliant. slight heating issue in the rooms, sorted out as best possible 30 December 2014
