Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by friendly staff We have stayed at this Holiday Inn many times over the last few years and have noticed a slow decline in the standard of the rooms. The furniture is looking tired and the comfortable mattresses replaced by hard and unforgiving ones which meant we did not get the good nights sleep we usually expect at this hotel.It was unfortunate the lift was out of order for the three days of our stay with little sign of any repair. However the staff remain friendly and helpful and the breakfast is good value for money with plenty of choice. Prices have become more competitive so the hotel remains good value for money 21 November 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing break Just had a weekend break with the grandchildren aged 5 and 4. The leisure facilities were fantastic and the boys loved it. The breakfast was superb and the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was 256 and was on the road side, this was noisy at night with the traffic noise even with the window shut. I am a very light sleeper others may not notice the noise. I would recommend asking for a room on the river side. We will be going again in a few months. 20 November 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by clean and comfortable room Our room was very clean and comfortable. The curtains were dark enough to stop all light entering, thus ensuring a good nights sleep. The bed and sofa were comfortable and the bathroom was very bright and the towels were of a good quality. 19 November 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent short stay for business. Short stay for business. The hotel is located near the M6 junction, hence easy to get to. The stay were friendly and the room was clean. Fee wifi for IHG members. My room had some serious double glazing to keep out noise and the curtains made it nice and dark to sleep. I had to turn down the heating as I found the room a little to hot for me. So it should be plenty warm enough through the winter. Car park was big enough to cope. I arrived later in the evening and still managed to park ok. restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Nice to be greeted so warmly when arriving for breakfast. 17 November 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Upgrade the rooms This hotel is situated in the perfect area for my business and is good value. I do feel that the rooms are now ready for a facelift as they are a little out of date and the bedroom seats for example are badly stained. other than this the staff are great and the gym is also very good. 13 November 2014
