Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by More knowlegeable waitress staff needed Overall we have been very happy with our stay at Holiday Inn. However on both occasions the waiting staff in the restaurant haven't been as prompt to serve or as well informed as they should be. When asked about the soup of the day for example, the waitress had to ask the chef. We were told it was chicken and so we ordered it. When it arrived it was mushroom! The waitress didn't really know which house wines they had and the service at breakfast in terms of replenishing hot iitems, was very slow. The toaster also only over cooks the bread. This was the same 6 months ago and it is VERY slow. Other than that it is a good place to stay and I would recommend it! 19 February 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable stay We were staying at the hotel for a formal function, bathroom had been nicely refurbished, such a shame that gaffer tape had been used to secure the edge between the bathroom and the bedroom, but we assume this will be sorted out soon. All in all a pleasant stay we would use again. 19 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday inn My husband and I stopped here on Valentine's night my 1st experience of stopping in one of these places. The hotel was clean staff friendly. Breakfast was just what the doctor ordered. Only down side was bed could have been a bit bigger. apart from that no complaints lovely place. 19 February 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by IHG booking system could do with a rethink Hotel is undergoing a refurb as it's a bit tired (especially the swimming pool), so in general it was not up to standard. However, my main problem was with the booking. IHG rewards seems to default to 1 person staying, so after I made the booking in my name I corrected it to add my girlfriend (and her name), this appears to have changed the booking to be in her name. Consequently there was no booking in my name when we arrived and only after retrieving the booking number from my confirmation email did the clerk find the booking under my girlfriend's name. As a consequence of this mix up, there was no room upgrade available (hotel was full) 18 February 2015
