Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient This is a hotel that I have used a number of times and keep coming back over and over again. The staff (in my experience) are always helpful and friendly. But be warned, it is located in the middle of a roundabout and there is all of the noise that you would expect from a city centre hotel where people are out enjoying themselves, so if you are a light sleeper ask for a higher floor. (Better double glazing on the windows might help.) 13 November 2014

I stayed in the Executive room which was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was first class. I definately recomend this hotel, Ideal if you are on business. 11 November 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great restaurant service. My husband, daughter, son in law and 10 month old baby stayed 26/10/14. I had initially telephoned to book an executive room and family room, and booked a table for 8 people to celebrate my daughters 40th Birthday that night. When we got to our room (executive) I found that there was a oil filled radiator in the room as the heating was not working, the TV did not work and some of the lights did not work. I reported this to reception who immediately moved us to another room. It was obvious that the hotel knew about the problems in the first room and I wonder if they thought we would just accept it as we were only there for one night? My daughter and her family were in a family room. The cot had been sited next to the kettle and cups etc. Obviously not much thought given there. As ten month old babies will do, the baby started to crawl around the room and soon discovered the dust balls under the bed and items left by the previous occupant. Obviously the cleaning had been skimped upon. This was reported to reception who though apologetic only offered me extra IHG points. When I booked our reservation, I would have appreciated to be told then that the hotel restaurant does not open on Sunday Evenings, as it was quite surreal to have a table in a restaurant and be the only people in there! If I had been told I would have probably booked a table elsewhere with a bit more ambiance in view of the fact it was to celebrate my daughters 40th Birthday. However I did appreciate that the hotel had tried to accommodate my request. Nevertheless, the waitress was very efficient and friendly, in fact I couldn't have asked for a nicer waitress. The food was lovely and enjoyed by all. It was a shame that the hotels' wine stock was very low though, as there was not much choice and limited amount. 11 November 2014
