Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great people - other things not always so good. First of all I need to say that the staff I deal with are always polite, helpful, friendly and professional . No problems there . The hotel itself is now in need of some TLC, so it's diss appointing, for example, that when bathrooms are upgraded the old chipped baths are left in. Food is also disappointing . Subjective I know but The menu needs an overhaul in my opinion . 08 March 2014

Our room and food package was amazing value for money, I only wish I had been a little more hungry as we could have eaten a 3 course meal however I only managed one. My kids loved staying here and the pool was lovely. It was in a good location for the purpose of our visit and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only gripe was the price of the wine - £7.40 for one large glass. I was also a little disappointed that there was no facility to play a dvd or plug our lap top into the tv so the kids could watch a film of their choice. We were only able to view free view tv or pay for a film. Other than that I would recommend to anyone looking for a great value for money hotel stay. 06 March 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by a good leisure break my wife and i spent three days here and enjoyed it very much. the only draw back when we ordered coffee and mocha we had to wait for some 20 minutes so another person could make the drinks. other than that we had a very pleasant stay. we will be going back. 06 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent, friendly stay, recommended. Stayed for 2 nights for weekend in Leicester. Great staff, good hotel, good facilities, super location. We could walk everywhere we wanted to and a short taxi ride for the other stuff. From arrival to departure we had a great time. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about Leicester. The car park (NCP) was right outside the front door. Good facilities, the refurbed room (5th floor) was to a good standard. Breakfast was up to the expected standard from IHG. Enjoyed the bar and coffee experiences too. Nice little leisure centre, friendly members, good facilities. Loved it and we will be back. 03 March 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Leicester City Center Been visiting this hotel since November 2000. Brilliant Hotel and location. Just walking distance to High Street Shopping, Bars and Clubs. The Spirit Fitness facility is First Class with a large swimming pool and Jacuzzi. I feel like I am at home whenever I come to visit. Great Place. 28 February 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Location and Facilities Had an awesome, relaxing three day break. We like Leicester for its restaurants, market and retail outlets including High Cross shopping Centre. Prices in smaller independent shops much cheaper than London. Love the leisure facilities at this hotel, excellent staff and friendly local people who are club members. Came back home feeling much more calm and relaxed. Would have given an excellent rating were it not for the cheap loo seat which kept coming off its fastenings and had to be repaired twice and also the noisy heating system which fortunately we only had to have on once as for most of our visit we had mild weather. That said a great hotel to visit with fantastic staff and a wonderful ambience. 26 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent customer service We stayed here for my best friend's wedding and from the moment we arrived we experienced great service. We were allowed to check in at 11.30am and the room was spacious and very clean. The wedding reception was also at the hotel and the food and service displayed by all staff was second to none. During the evening the toilet broke in our room and we informed the front desk. We were immediately given a new room and staff came up to help us move our belongings. The new room was even bigger and the same level of cleanliness. I have never stayed in a Holiday Inn before but I certainly will again. Great value for money, excellent service, lovely rooms and great food - both at the wedding and at breakfast the next morning. 26 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable City Centre Stay\ With a Good Nights Sleep and Great Service. We (Me, Wife and 2 sons aged 11 and 14) Had a great couple of days at the hotel. We checked in and out that was quick, All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and tidy. Good TV, Comfy double beds, We were on the 8th Floor there was no noise, the breakfast was great because they had a good variety, Last breakfast was at 9.30pm on a weekday, Room service is available at the hotel. Me and the children enjoyed the swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and I enjoyed the sauna and steam room too. The health suite was open till 10pm. The hotel also had a gym. Room service is available at the hotel. The hotel is in a great location, near the centre of town. With all the high street shops\food places at walking distance. We will be definitely be staying here again. We all loved it. 25 February 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great food This hotel was booked for its value that it offered, for two adults and two children eating free. This was great, however, the trip was let down by the charging of the NCP car park facility @ £10.00 for 24 hrs and the charging of WiFi £10.00 for 4 hours. This extra £20.00 could have made a difference to whether or not the hotel was booked as most large chains do not charge for car parking or wifi. Other than that, the hotel was lovely, the food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff in the restaurant couldnt do enough for you, over all the stay was good. 24 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Night In Leicester When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by Friendly staff which made us feel comfortable and relaxed straight away ,as we arrived early we were then given a choice of rooms for our night stay and storage areas for our bags if we wanted to wait for the room we had reserved Once in our room we were happy with its cleanliness and brightness. We ventured to the bar and was greeted again by friendly staff and the bistro bar was again totally relaxing, the beds were very comfortable, the breakfast was lovely and we look forward to staying at the holiday inn Leicester again very soon . 20 February 2014

My stay in holiday inn alway very good or better, Donna and the rest of the restaurant / bar staff have been rushed off there feet as this evening it's been so busy being school holiday week. Donna is a credit to the holiday inn group as she never seems to miss when things are about to go hectic always apologetic when food is running late. Also little Michaela always has a smile on her face regardless how busy are. People are alway quick to criticise but we need to praise sometimes as well... So well done restaurant and bar staff 19 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A good choice if staying in Leicester From checking in to checking out we found the hotel to be very good. Very comfortable, large room on 7th floor. Slept well in Queen size bed with choice of pillows. We appreciated the fact that it was so quiet. We had a drink in the bar and ate a lovely Valentines meal in the restaurant, The food was of a very good standard and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had breakfast which was served until 11am ( think this is just on weekend ) Good choice and all hot and fresh. If visiting Leicester or passing through as we were this is a good choice, easy to find with car park next door also handy to walk to the town centre where there is a good shopping centre. 19 February 2014

The rooms were clean and well kept and the beds were very comfortable. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A good clean hotel with friendly attentive staff We visited this hotel with a view to using it for a military reunion. Although arriving very early before the room was ready the reception did their utmost to get our room ready early. We received hospitality whilst waiting. We found all the staff very friendly and accommodating from the general manager to the room cleaning staff. Our negotiations were conducted in a very friendly manner and although I have some proposed draft rates I am unable to more than 4 stars for value until I see the whole package. Our room an executive was large, very clean with a comfy bed albeit the pillows were too hard for our liking. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was powerful and hot. During the show round we viewed various standard rooms which are the same size but different furniture but they were also very clean. The evening dinner was excellent with the Indian Maitre 'D' offering us an Indian choice not on the menu. Very tasty. Breakfast was good with a selection to suit every taste from a slimmers healthy menu to the fat boy 'truckers' fry up. I do hope the package is found to be acceptable as the hotel itself ticked the boxes we find important. 03 February 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel has gone downhill Every time I stay here, something else is worse with the hotel. The WiFi service has always been outrageously expensive. It is slightly less expensive now, but still too much. Recently they removed all mini fridges in the rooms. My room was equipped with a mini bar, but it was unplugged and empty. I couldn't even use it as a replacement fridge. I will probably stay elsewhere next time. 03 February 2014
