Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It's Okay for a Place to Sleep This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with an IHG property. I was on vacation in London and decided to stay here for the affordable rate. This was one of the rudest staffs I have ever encountered. We decided to have supper at the hotel and it took forever to get initial service. Then we waited over an hour for out food. My friend and I decided we wanted to share a brownie after, and when the server came by the final time we asked for one brownie to share. The server brought us the check before the brownie, and when I checked it it said 2 brownies. I politely pointed out the mistake to the server and he hurried off presumably to fix the check. He returned with 2 brownies, and sat one down in front of me and one in front of my friend and said "Too late now." and scuttled off. I did not pay to be treated like this, and probably will not stay here again. 16 January 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not Great Was first put into a room which needed a lot of work - the fixtures and fittings were quite worn and the shower was dirty and limescale was all over the showerhead. I then asked to be moved, and I was then put in a room which stank of cigarette smoke (or damp, or both). Finally I was then put in another room which was much cleaner, but the light didnt work in the bathroom and as it was a weekend, this couldnt be resolved until Monday (!!). In addition to the above, the second night we stayed, there was an event on in the hotel with loud music until gone 1am. Seems quite late for a hotel event. We were then put into another room which for all intents and purposes was nice but no nicer than any of the cheaper hotels you can now book at. During this time, we werent offered anything as an apology, (I would have upgraded to apologise for all the faffing around personally). Once settled into a cleaner room, the stay was adequate - but I wont be staying there again and would certainly not recommend it to anyone as well. 03 January 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Peaceful night For a reasonable stay - no frills but not basic, the hotel did the job very well. We stayed overnight in December and there seemed to be a few Christmas dos going on. We were a bit concerned about the potential for noise. Not a problem at all - the rooms are in a separate wing, so there was no noise - really quiet, warm and dark so got an excellent night's sleep. Lovely. The shower was a bit basic - one of those mixer affairs attached to the bath taps. I reported ours as it wasn't very powerful at all. And, I'd have liked to have a proper filter coffee at breakfast. But these are two minor things. The bed was very comfortable, the rooms and the hotel itself all neat and tidy - impressive on a Saturday night/Sunday morning during Christmas party season. Definitely a good place to stay if you're looking for a base to go do things, rather than a romantic weekend. 15 December 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not Good I had just spent the night before at the Holiday Inn near Heathrow with a fantastic experience. However, when I came here it was disastrous, the entrance to the hotel is in the most ridiculous of places, and then the receptionist.... She never even looked at me once, referred to me as "You" never asked me if I wanted a paper, restaurant for that evening, and never even checked my platinum status. So with that brushed off the room was ok, as you would expect, then that evening I ordered room service and the food came with no cover over the soup (disappointed at this) Then the electric went and took over half an hour to reset in my room. The following day I ordered the same food again, this time none of the food was covered, the guy was sneezing and my soup had no rolls. I phoned up to complain and I had a roll with no butter delivered to my room about 20mins after. By this time the soup was cold and I was extremely peed off. All in all, I will not be returning to this hotel and would not recommend it. 11 December 2012

We have been staying there over the last few years and would like to say that this stay was excellent apart fronm the tomatoes served at breakfast !!! I know this is not going to put us off staying again, but I thought I would mention it ! Room 225 and all th staff were extremely helpful. 30 November 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing stay but check your bill carefully Have stayed here several times. Room, restaurant and atmosphere always good. However, on this visit we had dinner, bed and breakfast rate but the receptionist did not know how much the meal allowance was in the pacakage. When checking out the cost of the meal had been charged in addition to the DBB rate. A different receptionist did not understand that the dinner was included and even asked us for proof that dinner was included in the DBB rate. He eventually, after much discussion, referred it to another member of staff who sorted out the problem. Staff training is obviously needed. 19 November 2012

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent value for money We found the hotel and facilities to be very good. However the room which we had been allocated had an adjoining door. This became a problem around one o'clock in the morning when the guests next door arrived in their room. They were not excessively noisy, however due to the adjoining door it was as if they were in the same room. Eventually I had to phone reception and request ear plugs. Not what I expected from a hotel room which was booked to enable a good nights' sleep ! I would book again but request a room without the adjoining door. 19 October 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not one of my more memorable trips I am a frequent traveller and use this hotel often, as it convenient for my work in the area. However this was not one of my better trips. Arrived late (9:30pm) after a long drive, given room 163? This room was next to the aircon units for the hotel, the noise was ridiculous (and the walls vibrate). Back to reception and allocated another room on 2nd floor - switched on TV to unwind, didnt work!! Back to reception allocated 3rd room which was ok. During my stay my key card failed, this has happned on every trip to this hotel at least once. Its minor but really annoying. Dont have the problem anywhere else. Food is ok, but RS choice is ok if you like everything with chips. Failed to get any form of recognition for my Priority club status (platinum) 04 October 2012

Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. the weekends it gets kind of noise with all the weddings they seem to host and kids running up and down the halls, but at least its quiet during the week! 03 October 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Reception and friendly staff Arrived at around 19.00 hours to find the hotel surrounded by groups of guests attending two weddings, we feared the worst! However the guy on reception was very efficient and quickly handed over the keys and completed the formalities in record time. The room was clean, well equipped and after a "freshen up" we went down to dinner. Service was prompt, polite but friendly and the steaks both cooked to our preferences. All in all a good reasonably priced meal. The only downside was that our room was quite warm, so we left the window open when we went to bed. We were woken by a block of air con units which sprang into action at around 06.00 on Sunday morning! The moral is to look outside while it's still daylight. Breakfast buffet was fresh with a wide selection and again good value. Yes we will stay again next year, but check that we are not near the air con plant. ----and no, we weren't disturbed by the wedding guests! 22 September 2012

The staff welcome us like old family, and we always have the same room No. 258. The Scottish manager is a gem, so friendly and obliging. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room had must smell - bar staff unfriendly Being a platinum member, we were not offered ANY platinum services. A late checkout was refused! The senior lady in the bar had poor attitude, would not want to be served by her again. The first room we were offered had a horrible musty smell. Carpet was filthy and unacceptable. The second room had a peculiar smell as well, we had to put up with it. Nice gym, but swimmipool too small, half of it too deep, other half too shallow... no happy medium. 14 September 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room I have stopped at this hotel at lot over the past 4 months - it is one of our only corporate recommendations for the location. The rooms are comfortable, but not consistent in quality, but corridor noise (fire doors) has woken me on more than one occassion. The restuarant staff are friendly but service can be slow even when there are not many people in the restuarant. Restuarant menu has been revamped and its a good, if not overly exciting, improvement. Asking for something slightly different on the menu is like your asking for the something exceptional. The front desk are good depending on who it is (some not so good). Overall attention to detail sadly lacking - and that is what turns ok service it great service. Room upgrades never available for my priority club level - and rarely offered any form of compensation for this ( drink). Free wifi for Platinium would be good. It is value for money (my corporate rate) but this is hotel that could elevate its self by better attention to detail and service. 26 July 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Check check-out time! Good location and really comfy room and stay. Although room information says checkout time is 12 noon, hotel staff say it is 11 am. Simple solution, until room info can be changed, would be to put notice on reception desk. However, stayed again 3 nights after first stay and nothing had been done. The only problem with an otherwise enjoyable stay. 22 July 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality rooms, ignorant staff Clearly not an IHG hotel but a franchise. Disgusting, not what I expect from an IHG hotel. The rooms were in very poor condition, the walls were stained all over, the bathroom windows and surrounding area were covered in mould. The wallpaper throughout was pealing. Staff at reception not helpful, didn’t say thank you, didn’t ask me how my stay was were rude and dismissive in assisting in providing exit tokens needed to leave car park. No chance will I stay here again. It also makes me think twice about using any franchise IHG hotels as clearly they do not wish adopt the same standards as IHG. 17 July 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great spa included in price I would recommend this hotel for the price we paid as it was clean comfortable and included the use of the spa pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The major downside was trying to find the hotel in the dark late at night which was difficult and i definately wouldnt recommend it for anyone not familiar with the area - to make matters worse when we found the hotel we could not find the entrance as the barrier made it look as if you couldnt enter and we went around the other side only to find ourselves on a one-way major road going in the wrong direction! When we finally made it back we realised that in fact if you drive closer to the barrier it does open which was so frustrating! The entrance is very poorly signed as is the reception. 10 July 2012
