Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Always great. I love the location. I think I will always stay in this hotel, as it is so convenient to be in the center of London. 24 April 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Quite disgraceful! I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last year or so and can without doubt state that I will never stay here again. Where to start?? On arrival at the hotel, I was unfortunately on the phone so realising that I was going to be on the phone for some time more, I decided to give the receptionist my Platinum membership card and mouthed that i would like to check in - no problem I thought and the young lady duly checked me in. While still in the lobby area, I eventually finished the call and then noticed that the room key was not in the usual Priority Club folder - I went back to reception and asked if I had received the complimentary upgrade that I usually have received at the hotel in the past. The girl took the room key from me and gave me another room asking me if I had actually been to my room in a rude manner. Having eventually got to my room and decided to do some work and get room service, but there was no menu in the room so I rang down to reception to request one. They said Room service would call me back - after 15 mins they did so and said that they would send a menu up. After 45 mins nothing received, I call reception again - who again said room service would call back - after 15 mins they eventually called - I requested a menu again - 10 mins later it arrived. I called reception again to make my order - again told room service would call me back - 45 mins nothing. So after two hours of waiting I had not even placed my order! So I went to rection complained and went out to get a sandwich. Prior to going out that night I tried to have a shower but that did not work properly (small dribble) - same next morning - oh and to top it off the air con didn't work! Next morning at check out I was offered a £10 discount off my bill or some more points but was just too angry to accept either and advised reception I will not be staying there again - frankly appalling! 24 April 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by bad check in desk service even for platinum it is really the slowest and badest service I had overall in this chain. no matter which message you leave behind it does not come through. some of my staff had to wait for over one hour to check in... for me... no confirmation of paid breakfast or business lounge while it was paid for... 22 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service and value I went with an 11 yr old child for an event she had to perform in, the location was fantastic and we managed to walk everywhere we needed to go (R.A.Hall, museums etc). Staff managed to get us in our rooms early (including on same corridor as friend and her daughter) in order for the girls to change into performance clothes. The rooms were good value and very comfortable beds. We ate in the hotel in evening and the food was excellent - the buffet breakfast had a fantastic choice of foods. Moreover all the staff we came across were really child-friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this HOliday Inn especially for location. I will definitely use it again for any other London trips. My daughter would have liked a pool but you can't have anything!! 21 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One Night Stand Comfortable room. Efficient and friendly checkin. Good value for money in central London. 17 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Forum Pluses & Minus Great hotel with one of the best locations in London. Only one block from tube station with 3 lines. Walk to Hyde Park or Musuems. Only negative is poor water pressure so generally a lower floor might be better than high up? 17 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Such friendly staff I took my niece for a two day break she was so impressed with the staff that she sent a personal note to thank them massively for her enjoyable stay! Even at breakfast the staff were so accommodating when she asked for strawberries. The manager gave her crayons for the note she sent. 16 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect night away I stayed here with a friend in a twin room for 1 night. The room was spotlessly clean. Very comfortable. The staff were all lovely. Breakfast was probably one of the best I have had in a hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great value for money. The only negative is, from the outside it is a very unattractive building. Do not judge a book by its cover.............inside was a different story :-) 13 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great breakfasts I have stayed here several times on business, and always had good service and enjoyed great views of London. On this stay I had an a la carte breakfast in the Consortia restaurant which was really excellent -the poached haddock and eggs were great. The refurbished gym is really good too, with a good range of new kit for a quick workout. 13 April 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No Service. Disappointed with this particular Holiday Inn. I am a platinum member with staying over 35 nights this year so far and this hotel has zero service. I will not stay here again. 12 April 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Kensington Forum Really great staff, all of which were super helpful. Nice room but very noisy due to general traffic overnight, so not very restful. Silly sliding door to the bathroom nearly fell off, so I saved the hotel some money a fitted it properly on its runners. Shower utterly hopeless, worst of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Ever. As I always stay in Holiday Inns, whichever country I am in, I would love to recommend this one, but really cannot, sorry! 12 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value This hotel is good value for London and all the attractions are close enough to make it convenient for a city break. We stayed over a busy weekend and were faced with long queues for breakfast but it was all very well organised so didn't have to wait long to be ushered to our table in a second breakfast room, obviously arranged for the overspill of customers at busy times. Quite impressed with the buffet and the service. Also pleased to be able to park in the underground car park (charged separately). The hotel is outside the congestion zone so we tend to drive there and then use public transport and taxis to access the city. A good all-rounder of a hotel! 11 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by London Trip With Daughter and Friend Stayed here for 5 nights in April 2013. Being an American and have stayed at numerous Holiday Inns, I'm used to our oversized rooms here. Our room was tiny with 2 double beds and barely enough room to walk between the two. That is the European norm I guess. The staff was friendly and the concierge was very helpful and a good value as I booked this through Location was great, just a short walk to the Gloucester Road tube station and plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. Would stay here again and recommend this property. 10 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay for parents with young children This was a great location and the price was very affordable for a london hotel in this location. We had a 5 month old baby with us and the hotel and its staff were very helpful in getting us a crib and a room that would accommodate us and the crib. The rooms were very clean and nice. We got great recommendations from the staff on places to eat and things to do. Some people complained about the breakfast on trip adviser and they are crazy, it was a great buffet, and had alot to offer everyone. Over all we were really happy with our stay, and the staff. 10 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic location for a brilliant price We had a fabulous few days staying at this hotel in April. The room was perfectly adequate in size and well serviced, clean etc. Excellent value for money. The front of house staff were very welcoming too. The only slight criticism we have is the cost of drinks in the'pub'. Very expensive even by London standards! We didn't have breakfast and if anyone wants to try elsewhere we can highly recommend the Cafe Forum around the corner in Gloucester Road. We will definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends. 09 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Helpful Group Service I stay here quite often through work as a Tour manager. The Group section organiser, Sally, always impresses me with her friendliness and attention to detail. On this occasion she was able to get my group roomed well before regular check-in time - for which they were extremely thankful. Otherwise the service was good. Rooms clean and well-appointed and breakfast excellent as usual. 09 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Place I've stayed here many times and would again. Great location, very close to Gloucester Road undergroud station. That puts you just a few minutes from most of London. Lots of hotels in this same area, I've stayed in a few of them and prefer this one. Free WIFI Please!!! Come on, already paying a lot to stay in your hotel. 06 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great central hotel Nice hotel, good location. Very helpful + friendly staff. 05 April 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Lovely. Staff just a little busy! I enjoyed my stay at this Holiday Inn (Kensington Forum) as it was a lovely hotel and very central to everything we wanted to see. The rooms were small but very nice and had everything you needed really. Food in the bar was really nice, if it did take some time to arrive. There was a room available to store luggage on our last day so we could enjoy the sights with ease which was great! My main bugbear was with the staff at Reception; I always got the impression they were understaffed and could do with another few people at the desk. That being said, when things got busy, a woman came forward and dealt with whoever was waiting, but I just got the impression generally that staff were not engaged with the customer. Otherwise it was good and I will be back again, and as long as I don't have too many needs from the staff at Reception, I should have a great time there! 04 April 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable but expensive experience. I stayed in a room with a double bed, and my parents upgraded to an executive suite, which was exactly the same apart from with a sofa. The size of the room was average. I loved the shower and bathroom. You can also select your own pillows (firm, soft etc.). Room service is available (very useful sometimes). As a vegetarian, I didn't find the selection on the menu very appealing. There just wasn't much choice. Also if you are there on business you have to bear in mind that internet costs £16 per 24 hours and the films on the tv aren't included. Basically the price you pay is for the room and nothing else. It was very comfortable and in a nice area of London but if I didn't have a 3G phone to access the internet it would have been an extremely expensive stay. Not suitable for students. 02 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What a wonderful visit! I stayed at the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum with a study group for 5 nights beginning March 9, 2013. We were greeted warmly upon our early arrival and though our rooms were not ready we were able to store our luggage and visit the city. Upon receiving my room key and venturing to the 5th floor, I found a wonderfully comfortable and clean room! My room was a single room with a queen bed, and was spacious, with a choice of soft and firm pillows on the bed. The mattress was a bit hard, but most nights I was too tired to notice it much, and slept comfortably. The hallways at this time were very quiet at night with no disturbances. Our stay included the breakfast buffet, which was also very good and had many different choices. Tip- arrive to the breakfast buffet early, it can get crowded! My room was always tidied after returning from my day's adventures and we were greeted with smiles upon returning. The staff was very professional and kind. Also, make sure you ask the concierge for directions if you are not 100% sure where you are going--they know some great shortcuts! Interesting side note- I had bought a souvenir pub glass during dinner one night at a local pub (not the hotel's pub), and left it on the table in my room. Upon returning to my room late the following evening, I noticed the pub glass was gone. I spoke to the front desk attendant the following morning, and he promptly placed a call to someone describing my glass and asking this person to talk to housekeeping. That evening, the glass was back on my table! To ice the cake, so to speak, the following morning the housekeeper rang my doorbell and personally apologized for the missing glass. Having not seen any of the housekeeping staff prior to this, I was moved by the girl's honesty and willingness to apologize over a cheap missing souvenir, when she could have easily pretended she hadn't been cleaning my room. Overall, this hotel is a great place to stay in an amazing location, and I can't wait to return with my family! 02 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable, clean and good customer service Whilst staying at the London - Kensington Forum Holiday Inn hotel, I found the room to be clean, comfortable and very quiet. The staff were incredibly helpful and patient! 02 April 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy and not a 4* experienc I know its central London but the traffic noise in my room was terrible, got very little sleep. Complained and was moved to a higher room but this was not much better. The rubber seals are gone in the windows in my room (2113) and along with letting the noise in the wind whistles thru also. Bed OK but could do with a better duvet. Towels need replacing - too many trips to laundry. Other services were fine and typical of Holiday INN. WIFI expensive, should be free. I asked customer services if they could print a boarding card - sent me to the Business centre where they wanted £5 for an hours internet access - outrageous. 02 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very pleased enjoyed our brief stay staff were friendly and helpful. Room was as expected thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast especially the pancake making machine :-) 02 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Back again Second visit this year, only problem was that we booked a double and a twin but were given 2 doubles with bed sofa, family of four with 2 girls ages 12 & 15 and they did not get a good nights sleep but the receptionist admitted the mistake, unlike the duty Manager, and compensated us with a few reward vouchers but apart from that we enjoyed the stay recommend the business lounge 01 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Food The meal that I had in the evening was satisfactory, if uninspired. The breakfast, on the other hand, was appalling. The food was cold from the service. The plates were only just warm, the toaster was slow and burnt the toast on one side and was uncooked on the other. All in all the experience was dire. 01 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ideally located stayed only one night.Easily accesible to the tube.Walking distance from RAH. Room was clean and quiet.Loads of local eating places if needed.Didn't use retaurany at the hotel. Would stay again 31 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable bed! For us the location of the hotel was perfect - we were visiting Earl's Court (less then 10 min walk) during the day and dinner in Knightsbridge (less than 10min tube). Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom quite tight but for the price very pleased. 31 March 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by THE WORST STAY WE'VE HAD IN ANY HOTEL We have been to this hotel before and was ok but this stay was awful. There were not enough towels for two people. Ran out of toilet paper there was not a spare and no tissues either, then was humiliated because had to phone twice for some more and received to part rolls from people with smirks on their faces. Breakfast was just awful. Because there was a large queue some of us were taken to another room. Once we sat down at an unset table we realised we would have to get our own cutlery etc. There were no staff and hardly any food, the hot food was empty and what there was, was cold as the serving tins only had a candle under them in an attempt to keep hot. I went into restaurant to ask for more food and if I could have two poached eggs, when i told them where I was sitting was told i couldn't because there was not enough staff to do so in that area, by a supervisor. Told all this to at check out and got an apology but didn't really compensate for our worst experience in a hotel. 31 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good service and comfortable stay We have used this hotel before because of the location and that it is within walking distance of both Olympia and Earls Court, also the museums in the Cromwell Road. On arrival, there was a room ready for us, but were offered a free upgrade if we were prepared to wait an hour, so we took ourselves off to the pub on site. This we found very welcoming and the food was excellent. Our upgraded room was bright and clean, the bed was very comfortable with a choice of pillows, and we had a very comfortable night. Breakfast in the morning was slightly more hectic, we had to queue for a table, but the food was good and hot, and the staff were very attentive, clearing the table when required and offering more tea and coffee when requested. We will be staying at this hotel on our next visit to London, and I would recommend it. 29 March 2013
