Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic location for a brilliant price We had a fabulous few days staying at this hotel in April. The room was perfectly adequate in size and well serviced, clean etc. Excellent value for money. The front of house staff were very welcoming too. The only slight criticism we have is the cost of drinks in the'pub'. Very expensive even by London standards! We didn't have breakfast and if anyone wants to try elsewhere we can highly recommend the Cafe Forum around the corner in Gloucester Road. We will definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends. 09 April 2013

The Group section organiser, Sally, always impresses me with her friendliness and attention to detail. On this occasion she was able to get my group roomed well before regular check-in time - for which they were extremely thankful. Otherwise the service was good. Rooms clean and well-appointed and breakfast excellent as usual. 09 April 2013

Lots of hotels in this same area, I've stayed in a few of them and prefer this one. Free WIFI Please!!! Come on, already paying a lot to stay in your hotel. 06 April 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Lovely. Staff just a little busy! I enjoyed my stay at this Holiday Inn (Kensington Forum) as it was a lovely hotel and very central to everything we wanted to see. The rooms were small but very nice and had everything you needed really. Food in the bar was really nice, if it did take some time to arrive. There was a room available to store luggage on our last day so we could enjoy the sights with ease which was great! My main bugbear was with the staff at Reception; I always got the impression they were understaffed and could do with another few people at the desk. That being said, when things got busy, a woman came forward and dealt with whoever was waiting, but I just got the impression generally that staff were not engaged with the customer. Otherwise it was good and I will be back again, and as long as I don't have too many needs from the staff at Reception, I should have a great time there! 04 April 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable but expensive experience. I stayed in a room with a double bed, and my parents upgraded to an executive suite, which was exactly the same apart from with a sofa. The size of the room was average. I loved the shower and bathroom. You can also select your own pillows (firm,soft etc.). Room service is available (very useful sometimes). As a vegetarian, I didn't find the selection on the menu very appealing. There just wasn't much choice. Also if you are there on business you have to bear in mind that internet costs £16 per 24 hours and the films on the tv aren't included. Basically the price you pay is for the room and nothing else. It was very comfortable and in a nice area of London but if I didn't have a 3G phone to access the internet it would have been an extremely expensive stay. Not suitable for students. 02 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What a wonderful visit! I stayed at the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum with a study group for 5 nights beginning March 9, 2013. We were greeted warmly upon our early arrival and though our rooms were not ready we were able to store our luggage and visit the city. Upon receiving my room key and venturing to the 5th floor, I found a wonderfully comfortable and clean room! My room was a single room with a queen bed, and was spacious, with a choice of soft and firm pillows on the bed. The mattress was a bit hard, but most nights I was too tired to notice it much, and slept comfortably. The hallways at this time were very quiet at night with no disturbances. Our stay included the breakfast buffet, which was also very good and had many different choices. Tip- arrive to the breakfast buffet early, it can get crowded! My room was always tidied after returning from my day's adventures and we were greeted with smiles upon returning. The staff was very professional and kind. Also, make sure you ask the concierge for directions if you are not 100% sure where you are going--they know some great shortcuts! Interesting side note- I had bought a souvenir pub glass during dinner one night at a local pub (not the hotel's pub), and left it on the table in my room. Upon returning to my room late the following evening, I noticed the pub glass was gone. I spoke to the front desk attendant the following morning, and he promptly placed a call to someone describing my glass and asking this person to talk to housekeeping. That evening, the glass was back on my table! To ice the cake, so to speak, the following morning the housekeeper rang my doorbell and personally apologized for the missing glass. Having not seen any of the housekeeping staff prior to this, I was moved by the girl's honesty and willingness to apologize over a cheap missing souvenir, when she could have easily pretended she hadn't been cleaning my room. Overall, this hotel is a great place to stay in an amazing location, and I can't wait to return with my family! 02 April 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy and not a 4* experienc I know its central London but the traffic noise in my room was terrible, got very little sleep. Complained and was moved to a higher room but this was not much better. The rubber seals are gone in the windows in my room (2113) and along with letting the noise in the wind whistles thru also. Bed OK but could do with a better duvet. Towels need replacing - too many trips to laundry. Other services were fine and typical of Holiday INN. WIFI expensive, should be free. I asked customer services if they could print a boarding card - sent me to the Business centre where they wanted £5 for an hours internet access - outrageous. 02 April 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Back again Second visit this year, only problem was that we booked a double and a twin but were given 2 doubles with bed sofa, family of four with 2 girls ages 12 & 15 and they did not get a good nights sleep but the receptionist admitted the mistake, unlike the duty Manager, and compensated us with a few reward vouchers but apart from that we enjoyed the stay recommend the business lounge 01 April 2013

The plates were only just warm, the toaster was slow and burnt the toast on one side and was uncooked on the other. All in all the experience was dire. 01 April 2013

For us the location of the hotel was perfect - we were visiting Earl's Court (less then 10 min walk) during the day and dinner in Knightsbridge (less than 10min tube). Bed was very comfortable. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by THE WORST STAY WE'VE HAD IN ANY HOTEL We have been to this hotel before and was ok but this stay was awful. There were not enough towels for two people. Ran out of toilet paper there was not a spare and no tissues either, then was humiliated because had to phone twice for some more and received to part rolls from people with smirks on their faces. Breakfast was just awful. Because there was a large queue some of us were taken to another room. Once we sat down at an unset table we realised we would have to get our own cutlery etc. There were no staff and hardly any food, the hot food was empty and what there was, was cold as the serving tins only had a candle under them in an attempt to keep hot. I went into restaurant to ask for more food and if I could have two poached eggs, when i told them where I was sitting was told i couldn't because there was not enough staff to do so in that area, by a supervisor. Told all this to at check out and got an apology but didn't really compensate for our worst experience in a hotel. 31 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good service and comfortable stay We have used this hotel before because of the location and that it is within walking distance of both Olympia and Earls Court, also the museums in the Cromwell Road. On arrival, there was a room ready for us, but were offered a free upgrade if we were prepared to wait an hour, so we took ourselves off to the pub on site. This we found very welcoming and the food was excellent. Our upgraded room was bright and clean, the bed was very comfortable with a choice of pillows, and we had a very comfortable night. Breakfast in the morning was slightly more hectic, we had to queue for a table, but the food was good and hot, and the staff were very attentive, clearing the table when required and offering more tea and coffee when requested. We will be staying at this hotel on our next visit to London, and I would recommend it. 29 March 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by check in & birthday suprise We arrived at the hotel early and was greeted by Chelo guest relation officer she took us to the business check in as there were others checking in at the main desk,on the way to the desk Chelo ask why we were staying at the hotel i told her it was my wifes birthday on the 21st. On thursday the 21/03/13 my wife greatly suprised that room service brought her a bottle of wine we do stay at the hotel twice a year nomanly march for our birthdays september for our annevesry 27 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A good weekend I am a Gold Card holder & have used Holiday Inns & Express throughout UK, USA & Canada. Stayed Saturday to Monday for a concert at the Albert Hall & a show at Earls Court. Hotel well placed for both. Taxi rank at door of hotel very useful. Was disappointed not to be offered/granted a room upgrade upon arrival. Otherwise all staff pleasant & helpful, especially in lobby restuarant. Food in Lobby restaurant excellent & good value for money, but thought breakfast buffet, while good quality, was very ordinary & unimaginative especially for high price charged. Really not much better than the free breakfast at a Holiday Inn Express. It would have been nice to have menus for the restaurants in the room, we had no idea what sort of dinner the first floor restaurant would serve. Not impressed by poor disabled toilet facilties, only disabled toilet on 1st floor deep into conference area. People with mobility difficulties can't always move quickly and my wife nearly had a childish accident during dinner Saturday night! There should be a disabled toilet in or near the Lobby. Despite 5 elevators we always had to wait for one going our way which wasn't already full. Room was excellent but bathroom door very narrow to get through, especially in the dark. It was also very stiff to move for my wife. Shower & tap pressure very low, 'hot' water only warm and then after a long wait. A night light in bathroom would avoid disturbing ones partner during a nightime toilet visit! A daily pint of milk in the fridge would be nicer than 4 little tubs of long life. Drinking water in room on arrival but not replaced by maid when room serviced on Sunday. Internet connection would have been £16 a day, which is very excessive in this day & age. On a recent stay at Holiday Inn Express Exeter the wi-fi was free throughout the hotel, both in guest rooms & the public areas. Are you really telling me you offer a poorer service than an Express? Overall a very pleasant stay, just a few minor niggles as you can see. 26 March 2013

On check in I was asked to explain why I had requested that room type ( twin non smoking for 2 people) as they didn't have enough of the rooms! I was kept waiting at the desk for 45 minutes while they looked for a room despite booking several months ahead. The service in the restaurant was poor, slow and kept us waiting for a long time. We were shoved in a corner and despite asking to move as it was very cold. They took 45 minutes after finishing to clear our table. Then tried adding a 10% service charge, The hotel resembled an airport terminal throughout the stay with guests luggage every where from coach parties. The best part was leaving the hotel! 24 March 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Warm Reception I arrived after a long tiring train journey so it was a great uplift being greeted warmly at the desk. Check in was very quick and within minutes I was on my way to the 27th floor. After opening the door to my room I was greeted by a wonderful view of London. What a bonus! Room and Bathroom were very clean. Although both were quite small, they were large enough as I was by myself. Bed very comfortable and towels were changed each day. Only have two little things to moan about.... The shower did not have much pressure which was a shame. Drinks were rather expensive. I had a bottle of cider and thought the price was too high. Still - would have been nice if the bar had been open after arriving back from a concert on a Saturday night. Overall though, it was a very enjoyable stay and I hope to be able to return again soon. 23 March 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Trip to London A short visit to London, we chose Holiday in for its location. Check in was quick and efficient, the room comfortable. However the shower was abysmal, no water pressure, a long wait for the water to run warm and generally for a hotel of this standard very poor. The lifts to we're very slow, meaning overcrowding by the time they arrived. One morning we waited ten minutes before a lift arrived on the sixth floor! On checkout the problem with the shower was pointed out to the person on the checkout who appeared disinterested. 22 March 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cold room When we arrived the room was very cold and then found that the air conditioning controlled the temperature, not the radiator. There were no instructions to this effect and after contacting reception the room took some time to heat up. We were also disappointed that there was no information in the room regarding the different restuarants in the Inn. A menu would have been nice. Further, we had a sliding door for the bath room. This was very stiff and heavy and was extremely difficult to pull to. This was not good for someone slightly older. Having said the above the beds were confortable and the food we had in the downstairs area was good. Location for the Royal Albert Hall was also good. 22 March 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel was freezing cold Our bedroom was surprisingly small but the adjoining room, which was a disabled friendly room, was spacious and well equipped for our son. The problem was the rooms were freezing cold. Admittedly it was a particularly cold weekend but nevertheless there was no heating on in the room on arrival and the only source was the air conditioning system, which took a long time to have an effect and was too noisy to keep running at full pelt which was necessary to provide enough heat. The public areas were just as bad. The coffee lounge in the reception was cold and the pub/bar was also. When I mentioned this to the barman, pointing out that our table by the window was uncomfortably cold as there was no heat coming from the heating vents and the cold was striking through the glass, I was told that we should move to a table away from the window because it was bound to be cold by the window! This was February in a top class hotel? Sleeping also proved problematic as I had to go down to reception after midnight because, even with coats over us, the duvet was nowhere near warm enough. It was the thinnest quilt I have ever seen, the sort you might use during a heatwave possibly? Not on a freezing cold winter night. The staff were great and as helpful as they could be but we were very disappointed at the comfort levels for such a good hotel. I wouldn't stay there again during winter months. I am sorry to be so negative as the location was really good for our visit to Olympia, a 30 minute walk, and, considering its central location, amazingly quiet, no traffic noise at all. 22 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable, clean and great location The hotel staff were really great and very helpful, my wife is disabled and they did all they could to make our stay enjoyable and easy. I'd really like to thank HI for including rooms with hoists as it's extremely rare to find hotels that have them. The location was great too, around a 20 minute walk to the Albert Hall or Harrods and 10 minutes to the Museums and south Kensington, with plenty of choice for coffee and food. I'd highly recommend this hotel and will definately go back again. 19 March 2013
