Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Shame about the lack of hot water I use this hotel about once a month and its usually fine for what I need - a quiet, comfortable bed, with decent pubs restaurants close by - but when I stayed in January there was no hot water which made for a very unpleasant shower!! That said the staff handled the problem well. 19 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent in all respects Thoroughly enjoyed a two night stay at this hotel. Clean and crisp in all areas visited. Nice room. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food. No complaints. Not the most central position but not difficult to access. Gym and pool are good assets to be made use of. We consider this hotel to be good value for money and will not hesitate to return. 14 January 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by having a bad weekend? Took a long time to check in, then apologies from staff about the lack of upgrade. Not a problem as a perk not g-tee, even with a platinum elite card. Staff promised a complimentary bottle of wine, nice touch as not expected. Good that it was not expected as by the time we returned in the evening, no wine. Next day let reception know that wine had not turned up, lots of apologies and promise of wine that evening. On return later guess what? no wine and nothing next morning. Tried to check out at lunchtime, again a que of guests with same idea. When reached desk headed over key cards, before I could discuss the weekend with staff they moved to discuss question from another guest about their stay. I will not be staying at this Holiday Inn again, clearly they are understaffed or lacking in training or experience. This is a shame because the two old boys running the bar are real gentleman. 12 January 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel close to Kings Cross Station I chose this hotel due to proximity to Kings Cross at a decent price. Its about 0.7 miles from Kings Cross station and in good weather walkable distance. Would recommend looking up Google maps to reach there. Not complex once familiar with route. Location : Calm location with little / no disturbance. In peace to self. Staff : The desk staff were very courteous and friendly and always ready to help. Concierge : I found this team a step ahead. Folks from out of UK, always make this mistake to forget the converter. They were eager to help with adapters (for a small refundable deposit) and also very eager to guide tourists to the city sight seeing tours. Food : Did not use the hotel food , though it has a India special menu. Bathroom has a short tub so if ur fond of immersing yourself, it may leave you unhappy. Else everything else was good. The staff also provide any other missing stuff like toothbrush complementary (needed after my bag was opened before arrival). Else there are stores near by to pickup. Best part is well connected by London Tube to airport. Saves lot of money paid to cab. 11 January 2015
