Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful Hotel My husband and I took our two daughters (1 and 4) to London for the weekend and were really pleased with this choice of hotel. All staff were friendly and helpful. Reception staff were welcoming and accommodating, especially after a long journey and the bar staff were wonderful with our grouchy 4 year old after a long day sightseeing! Room was clean and had everything you could wish for to be comfortable and to relax. Breakfast was delicious and there was a great choice - my children were particularly pleased to see Nutella on offer! The walk from Kings Cross took us about ten minutes, but was not unpleasant, perhaps even making us feel better about over indulging at breakfast! Euston (where we arrived in London) was only 5 minutes further, which was perfect for us as we had a double buggy and therefore public transport is not so easy to use then. The hotel was also helpful when we needed to leave our bags on last day whilst we were out and about and they had also let us check in a little earlier because there was a room available. If a member of IHG, definitely use that membership as the free wifi is a bonus. 22 January 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Shame about the lack of hot water I use this hotel about once a month and its usually fine for what I need - a quiet, comfortable bed, with decent pubs restaurants close by - but when I stayed in January there was no hot water which made for a very unpleasant shower!! That said the staff handled the problem well. 19 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent in all respects Thoroughly enjoyed a two night stay at this hotel. Clean and crisp in all areas visited. Nice room. Friendly and helpful staff. Good food. No complaints. Not the most central position but not difficult to access. Gym and pool are good assets to be made use of. We consider this hotel to be good value for money and will not hesitate to return. 14 January 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by having a bad weekend? Took a long time to check in, then apologies from staff about the lack of upgrade. Not a problem as a perk not g-tee, even with a platinum elite card. Staff promised a complimentary bottle of wine, nice touch as not expected. Good that it was not expected as by the time we returned in the evening, no wine. Next day let reception know that wine had not turned up, lots of apologies and promise of wine that evening. On return later guess what? no wine and nothing next morning. Tried to check out at lunchtime, again a que of guests with same idea. When reached desk headed over key cards, before I could discuss the weekend with staff they moved to discuss question from another guest about their stay. I will not be staying at this Holiday Inn again, clearly they are understaffed or lacking in training or experience. This is a shame because the two old boys running the bar are real gentleman. 12 January 2015
