This is a lovely hotel which ideally situated near to kings cross station.the room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and had everything a person would want. Staff were very friendly and gave a great welcome which gave a good first impression.
A lovely safe hotel which was a first class experience and hopefully look forward to returning to in the near future.

I've stayed at this hotel before - always without a hitch. On this trip everything was fine until the morning. External water works (outside the hotel's control) meant there was no water in the hotel other than mineral water in bottles. It's every duty manager's nightmare and there are limited options. Fair enough. The response was a bit disappointing though.
I am a Platinum Ambassador member, so had already received a room upgrade. So far so good. I was due to check out at 7am, in time to catch a train. When I called in the morning at 6am to ask about the lack of water I was simply told 'there's no water'. No other information. I went to the front desk to talk to the Duty Manager at 6.15am. She was assembling bottles of mineral water, but I do not know what they were used for. I was not offered one. I asked the duty manager whether there was anything she could do: she said that there were water works outside the hotel, and that she had to wait until the maintenance crew arrived at 8am. Nothing else. I suggested that perhaps she might offer breakfast, given that I had to leave at 7am - long before the water would be fixed. She said ok, and offered a free breakfast.
Basically, there was a problem and the duty manager eventually responded with a courtesy breakfast. But if I had not been persistent, nothing would have happened.. My advice: if you want customer service, you'll get it if you ask for it. It won't be automatic.
