I have stayed in a number of IHG Hotels and this hotel is the poorest of the ones I have stayed in and by a long way. The quality of the room was poor and its very close proximity to a large building site meant that sleep was disturbed and working in the room difficult. I found reception staff very aloof and somewhat unapproachable. They appeared disinterested in their job and role. I stood and waited for at least a minute whilst a member of staff checked a balance sheet and only responded when I said excuse me. This was very disappointing considering the quality of reception staff I have encountered elsewhere. The lack of free Wi-Fi and Internet connection was also disappointing and despite being an IHG Rewards Member I still could not access the internet. There was little point discussing it with reception because of their seeming disinterest in customers. Staying at this hotel again when in London will be a last resort.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by asani62 Good position and comfortable room
A weekend break with my family in a family room without breakfast. It's close to Oxford St and Bond St tube, so good for transport links throughout London. My only issue with the family room was the adjoining door to another room which was not soundproofed and meant we heard some loud talking from the other room.

Our stay was brief; however, we stayed in 2014 and chose your hotel because of the location. The quality of the hotel staff and accommodations was superb.

This was the most reasonably priced hotel I could find as we didn't want to spend most of our time on public transport. Very quiet street behind Debenhams Oxford Street. Some lovely cafes and restaurants nearby (ask at front desk for directions). Small reception and bar area which was pleasant but pricey. We didn't have breakfast as not included in room rate - We thought £15 each was a bit steep. Our family room had 2 double beds and was reasonably spacious if a bit dated but the bathroom was tiny and needed refurbishing. Very basic toiletries. Tea and coffee making in room and a fridge to use for your own drinks. Nice to have opening windows too.

Very noisy room. Appeared to be a pipe running directly over the bed which seemed to gush all night. Despite using the ear plugs provided, it was difficult to get to sleep (and too late to switch rooms)
The light switch on the left hand-side of the bed was faulty. It wouldnt switch off (and buzzed angrily when attempted). I therefore had to take the key card out of the wall to switch all lights off
No iron in room. Called to have one delivered and was asked to use it immediately so it could be collected back up. I thought each room had one as standard?
Room was clean and welcome when I arrived was nice and friendly.

Everything according to expectations. The room was clean and the hotel has a good location. It is easy to get public transport to visit London and the UK.

We had a very enjoyable time at this Holiday Inn. The family room was excellent, with two comfortable double beds rather than a sofa bed. There were also two armchairs and a desk, so ample room for a family to hang out. It was very conveniently positioned for Oxford Street.
