Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Highly recommend Everything here that you will need for a comfortable stay in London. Close to Bond Street tube station and busses. The best shopping and good restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. Comfortable beds and good bathroom/shower facilities. Safe neighbourhood. Every staff member is professional and friendly and go above and beyond to meet your needs. A special thanks to Nicolette for helping us complete our flight online check-in. 14 May 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by London weekend good location and friendly staff. A bar and restaurant and kettle and tea in room. 04 May 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel with a good location Had a very nice stay at this Holiday Inn. Good location with easy access to shops. A number of very nice restaurants nearby (try St Christopher's Place which has a number of places to eat). Walked from Euston station (with smallish bag) and to Kings Cross (without bags) as weather was very nice however would not recommend to do this if the weather is unpleasant. Staff in the hotel where very friendly and always wanting to help. Room was modern with more plug sockets than I could count! A welcome change from visiting hotels which have only 1 plug socket in the room. 03 May 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, needs a revamp If you want a good location, close to Oxford St, and you just need somewhere to lay your head at night, then this hotel will be perfect for you. However the room I stayed in was in great need of a revamp - chipped and scuffed paintwork, tired furniture (apart from the standard issue Holiday Inn bed surround and bathroom) - and the atmosphere was rather depressing. If you want to feel welcomed and able to relax in your room, then look elsewhere! 29 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice big room and a central location stayed many times mainly because of the central location and the room sizes are pretty good. Desk staff are very welcoming. Bar service lets hotel down there is never anyone on to serve you and if there is someone they have the tv on loudly showing some rubbish not news or sport. 28 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by London for Business Very good hotel, very good location adnd excellent staff. 23 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by london oxford circus holiday inn We found our short stay at this hotel to be very enjoyable . It is situated only a few minutes from Oxford Street , and a relatively short distance from marble Arch and the American Embassy . The staff were all very friendly and were very knowledgable and informative . 21 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient & Clean We stayed for 4 Nights. It was a good stay and location is convenient. However, the wardrobe area needs to be brighter - only light is from toilet. Those taking the Tube do remember to alight at Bond Street Station instead of Oxford Circus. 16 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great hotel, with superior service My family and I spent the Easter holiday week at the London Oxford Circus hotel and had a wonderful time. The hotel is ideally located and the room (with two big double beds) was great. What really distinguishes this property, however, is the superior service. From the manager, to the clerks, to the bellmen, to the maids, they all went out of their way to be helpful. I contacted them a couple of weeks before arrival to ask for help booking a day trip to Stonehenge; done. I asked for an extra chair and pillows on arrival; immediate satisfaction. I needed a vase for flowers (we celebrated an anniversary and some birthdays); there was a knock on my door within minutes. It was bitterly cold during our visit, so having friendly faces and a comfortable-boarding-on-cozy room waiting for us after each outing was especially welcome! 11 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brill! Stay in the hotel for couple night and very pleased with everything. Lovely and clean room, also quiet . Recommend to everyone. Oxford street bar and restuarant very close to the hotel. Next time when I go to London again will be stay in this hotel again. :) 04 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location with very friendly, helpful staff! From the minute I walked in the staff were friendly, efficient and courteous - the room was lovely and clean! The location was very near Bond Street underground and also within easy walking distance of Oxford Circus underground. 02 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very enjoyable stay the experience from arrival until departure was good, the room ws good, clean and all in order, the satff were friendly and accomodating, would definately stay again on a trip to London. 28 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location for west end and oxford street Really good value and comfortable. Worth a visit... 28 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location and service If visiting London I would certainly recommend this hotel. The Staff were so pleasant and helpful. They acknowledged that I was a Priority Club Member, however i noticed that they were pleasant ,polite and helpful to other non Priority CluB members who were checking in The location is excellent, so central, the underground is also nearby.and the hotel so close to Oxford Streey, There is minimal noise in the the streets outside. It was a pleasure to come back to the Hotel and chill out in the bar area and also the bedroom which was spacious by London standards. 26 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service Stayed at several Holiday Inns now. Staff here were excellent, room was well maintained and quiet, nice bathroom, aircon/ temperature control worked well. Location is great, 2 mins from Bond Street Tube. Lots of bars and restaurants for all budgets nearby, which is as well, as the restaurant, in all honesty, was not great at all. Limp, would be my kindest description. WIFI charges are extortionate (£10+ per 12 period, NOT per 12 hour use!!) - but plenty of places offering free wifi in the neighbourhood - another reason to skip the bar and restaurant. Overall, good hotel & staff, avoid the bar & restaurant - there are great places, far cheaper nearby anyway 25 March 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by awful hotel Only good thing I can say would be location for this hotel. The breakfast was horribly disgusting, even including the juice they had tasted like a glass of water added 5 spoons of sugar. Sausages, eggs, croissants, even the muffin. We were told by reservations team member that parking would be 20 pounds per day at a nearby parking but found out that we were misinformed as we had to pay over 60 pounds for a day and few hours. Staff were very weird people. Would rather an ordinary B&B over this place, totally not in other Holiday Inn hotels' standard. Decided to stay at the other branch on regents park during next visit to London and it was absolutely opposite of this hotel. Very pleasant, nice breakfast, kind staff - generally value for price. Would recommend to choose the one at Regents Park as it's thousand times better in all aspects. 25 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location and good service Comfortable stay. Good location for central London. 25 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A gem of a hotel with friendly efficient service I booked this hotel in London on a whim, fairly last minute, and was delighted to find it was better than I had expected. Apart from the bonus of a very central, yet quiet location, the staff on reception were not only quick and efficient but helpful and understanding. Here I would mention in particular James. The room was very clean, bright, well equipped and comfortable. Apart from once hearing voices from the adjoining room indicating the walls could do with a little more sound insulation, our overall impression was very favourable. Food at breakfast was plentiful, fresh and varied and service was friendly and quick. The hotel was just right for our purpose. We will definitely use this hotel again and have already recommended it to friends. 22 March 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs renovating as in poor condition The family room was a wreck and need of a thorough remodelling, painting and the bathroom upgrading and better suppying. It was tiny. Just space for one person. The cleaner entered 3 times without knocking and at very inconvenient times. My parents however had room for people with disabilities was excellent and equipped to a far superior standard. Breakfast was excellent, staff helpful and location ideal 22 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Much Improved I stayed her a couple of years ago and did not like my stay at all, the hotel was shabby and the staff offhand. A lovely change this time my room was improved although some changes could still be made the carpet and curtains were very dull and the pale green paint boring but the breakfast was good and the staff were very helpfull and cheerful and the whole atmosphere was welcoming. 20 March 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible No acoustic comfort whatsoever. My ground floor room was located above Jubilee underground line with passing trains causing unacceptable groundborne noise levels. No noise insulation from the corridor doors, with gaps enough to hear every word, shout and step of passing people, arriving until very late on Saturday night. Music from a nearby (underground) nightclub causing tremendous pounding sound. Heating radiator was turned on maximum setting with broken valve. Temperature was boiling hot until porter came to switch the heating completely off. Shower pressure very good. 18 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Charming Stay The Holiday Inn Oxford Circus is located in a very accessible area to sites, shopping, Underground stops, food, and pubs! The hotel is in the posh West End and we could truly walk to most sites very easily. It is an older hotel, but very clean and comforable. Truly a charm. 13 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Myself and my mum had two nights here for my 40th, and I have to say what a clean and friendly environment ! The staff were very helpful and friendly, the bar was not as expensive as I thought it would be, Trish that works in the bar makes you feel you have known her for a while lovely lady. It was a very short walk to Oxford street for shopping. I will be recommending this Holiday Inn to friends and family, Brilliant, see you all next year! Thanks from Karen x 11 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One Night Stay Brilliant! Close to the restaurant & shops, couldn't have picked a better location. Would definately return and I recommend this Holiday Inn 11 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good location for shopping/ restaurants We stayed for 2 nights in this Hotel - This Hotel was a good location for a quick visit to London shopping with local restaurants on hand within walking distance. Piccadilly was a good 15 minutes walk - taxi to Piccadilly around £8.00. 5 minutes walk to shops literally the hotel is at the back of Debenhams on Oxford street and near Selfridges. The Hotel is clean and staff are pleasant. Only downside our room was at the back of the hotel that had a heating chimney working all night so noisy - went out the next day to get earplugs from boots. 09 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bed, good service Thank you Holiday Inn Oxford Circus, spent 2 nights with you 22/23 Feb, and had a great time.. Easy check in, pleasant hotel staff, nice clean comfy room 03 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Large clean and comfortable room Loved the decor it felt inviting .....the hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Easy to walk to from tube station and just a few streets away from Oxford street. Would certainly book again when we next come up to London. 01 March 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rooms Very Noisy Room temperature was very difficult to control. And noisy extractor in bathroom ran continually. As a hotel in the centre of London I would expect far more quality from Holiday Inn. 28 February 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful staff, go ANYWHERE else Embarrassingly poor service. Concierge is a bellhop, NOT a concierge. Staff is terrible. Unfriendly with no knowledge of area, service or customer comfort. As a Priority Club Platinum member, I trust the brand. This experience questions my membership and loyalty. 23 February 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointment - not even worthy of one star. I have stayed in many Holiday Inn premises around the world, including Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express in UK, Europe and USA. I am sorry to say that this particular site was the worst one I have ever experienced. Made worse by the fact that I/we were celebrating my wife's birthday and Valentines day. We spent only limited time in the hotel due to the fact that the appearance from the first moment you arrive is that of a tired, shabby, poorly maintained building that was not welcoming. The first impression we got was before we even entered the building - one of the front steps was broken and a yellow 'danger wet surface' cone had been placed on it to cover it up. The paintwork in the hotel was terrible - pretty much every door frame and skirting board had large pieces of paint chipped out. Not just isolated pieces but many marks all around the doors. The doors themselves were appalling - some it seemed had been 'repaired' at some time and had poorly disguised patches on them. We walked down the stair case on one occasion rather than take the lift and I noticed that even the widow frames were rotten. I am a Platinum Priority Club member, which gives you some idea of how often I stay in hotels. The room I had with my wife was an upgrade to a 'Queen Suite'. This room had recently been refurbished we were told. However the level of workmanship was poor - none of the plug sockets were level, the kettle didn't work properly, the skirting board was covered in paint splashes, the skirting board below the bath panel had parts on it where there was no paint, the door into the en suite was poorly fitted and maintained. You couldn't even flush the loo without the toilet seat falling down. These are all signs of a poorly maintained/managed hotel. When we arrived in our room a maintenance man was replacing the filter in the A/C unit, using the chair as his ladder! This suite, according to the tariff board was normally charged at something over £500 per night. It was obvious that the walls had recently been painted, but in comparison to other Holiday Inn rooms we have stayed in it was tiny and did not warrant the price tag. Fortunately I was able to use Priority Club Points, which I feel have been wasted on this stay and would like to have them all reimbursed. Not too sure who, if anybody at Holiday Inn will read this but I would like them to contact me. We stayed in a room on floor 5, 12.02.13 to 14.02.13 inclusive and my name is McMaster. When we checked out we made our feelings clear to the checkout staff - I asked if they were due a major refurb and was told they were but we were in the best part of the hotel! Frankly, the refurb can't come quick enough and it has to be major. 19 February 2013
