Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Maybe I'll try somewhere else next time... I’ve stayed here a few times – usually I drive down from the NW in the evening so arrive late, stay over then leave next morning. After you’ve found it the first time it’s quick and easy to get to off the M4. I like the Executive rooms and think they’re worth the nominal extra cost. However this time I had a room facing the back of the hotel and could hear a dull extractor fan type noise all night. There were also several sharp bangs (could be doors banging but sounded more forceful than that) during the night. It probably wouldn’t bother most people but I’m the sort of person who can’t sleep if I can hear a clock ticking, so I didn’t sleep well at all. I was also a bit miffed to be charged for parking this time. I’ve never been asked to pay before – I always assumed it was included for overnight guests and at £12 it makes quite an impact on the overall cost. Bit annoying to find there’s a park & fly deal which gives 4 days parking for £11 – it would be nice if there was a rate which included parking for those on a brief overnight stay, perhaps as part of the Executive room package and / or for IHG members. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Facility, A bit isolated The facility and the staff were excellent. However, The location is unreachable except by car or taxi. Access from public transit is very difficult. There is no easy access to any area restaurants or shops, but restaurants in the hotel are very good. The airport shuttle is not provided by the hotel and is not free. This appears to be typical of all the facilities in the area. September 30, 2015

Staff were pleasant & very helpful especially lee from callaghans who bent over backwards for us, superb customer service. The Hotel is spotless & very big so there are plenty of places to sit & chill out. Also the food was great from normal menu but sampans pan Asian reastaurant menu was top top quality & the food was lovely. All In All great stay & definitely recommended September 30, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel close to airport Stayed on our last night in the UK here to get a bit closer to the airport for our flight the next day. While it would have been nice to have a free shuttle to the airport, the Hotel Hoppa wasn't too expensive at 4.50 pounds per person. Since Holiday Inn is a traditionally American hotel, I wish they would have brought to England our love of Ice as there was no public Ice machine but I was able to get a glass of Ice at the bar for no charge. Overall this is a wonderful hotel at a reasonable price with great access to the hotel (and there is a tube station at airport so access to the tube system is also easy). Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A mixed experience Once we found the hotel (it is difficult to access, even with a GPS), we found the reception staff to be very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The room was clean, functional, and comfortable. That is a great combination The food experience, on the other hand, definitely left something to be desired. The breakfast buffet was poor (in terms of food quality) relative to other Holiday Inns. The pancake machine was broken, the coffee was lukewarm, the juice was watered down. The dinner service took a long time, in part because there were so many people there (which led to a noise level so high that we could not have a normal conversation) and in part due to service staff who sometimes seemed more intent on chatting amongst themselves than on serving patrons. We might come back because we are IHG Rewards Club Members, but our expectations would be lowered. September 26, 2015
