Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Extremly poor check in experience I had booked what seemed an attractive package advertised on the IHG site called room & meals. However on check in the receptionist claimed ignorance of this package in spite of me producing writen hotel confirmation. Only when I called for the manager later on was this error recteified and was given F&B vouchers to spend. The receptionist that had checked me in, did neither recognize me as a Priority Club Platenium Member no did she advice me that breakfast was included in my package, which ment I missed having breakfast on 3 days and only on the day of my departure did I find that breakfast was included because I had breakfast before leaving to the airport. 11 July 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enroute home through London - Regent's Park Carburton Street London Within walking distance of Picadilly Circus but less expensive than other centrally located hotels, the Holiday Inn/Regent's Park was a breath of fresh air and a great stopover base enroute home from the Middle East. Staff were exceptional, from the front desk clerk who explained how walking to Picadilly would be faster than taking the Tube, to the gentleman who helped with bags and hailed a taxi from the nearby corner for me; breakfast was wonderful; check-out was fast; and there's a small convenience store on the corner nearby. I hope to stay here on my next stopover in London. 10 July 2012

The service at breakfast and the food on Friday was excellent; on the Saturday it was terrible having to find and get coffee and cutlery myself and much of the food had run out despite being in breakfast at about 8.30 10 July 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, good location and good quality room I found all the staff I came across in the hotel were friendly, polite and came across as wanting to provide a good service. Reception was excellent. I've stayed in other locations around London but found this was a good spot near 2 different tube lines, or easy walking distance of the centre. I would recommend an inside room, which is a bonus for a quieter night. Would definitely stay again. 10 July 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay After a long train ride from Newcastle, we were so warmly welcomed by the staff at the front desk. After a seamless check-in, we found ourselves in a beautifully appointed room with all the amenities. Our bed was very comfortable, and after walking around all evening, I have never slept so well in a hotel room. The room was exceptionally clean, the bathroom too. Lots of towels and I loved the tub! I would recommend the breakfast, spend the few extra pounds for a superb feast, inlcuding all the fixings of a traditional English Breakfast. Staff in the breakfast room were friendly and seemed to enjoy pouring the coffee and tea! On your next trip, stay here! 10 July 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable bed and room smelled of smoke. Uncomfortable bed and room smelled of smoke. When I mentioned this at checkout, my comments were ignored. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times prevously, and it is clearly not the hotel it used to be. It is now very poor value for money. I will not stay there again. 10 July 2012

Hotel within walking distance of Oxford Street and tube station. Parks near also. Lots of restaurants nearby. Staff always very helpful and informative. The food is good, but not great and this is what I expect from a Holiday Inn. Rooms are compact and comfortable. The mine bar nonsense with the sensors is most annoying. 10 July 2012

The hotel is friendly and the breakfast and dinner has a good selection.The rooms are up to excellent Holiday Inn standard and the price range is very good. 10 July 2012

The problem is that the rooms are not all the same level - there are extremely small rooms and some large rooms. Also some of the rooms have been redesigned and part are still old and not good enough 10 July 2012

Friendly staff, good selection of food at breakfast and clean rooms that are a good size. access to local gym a short walk away is good too. 28 June 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient and reliable I stay at this hotel quite frequently as the location is convient for my business in London and the cost is within the guidelines provided by my employers. During my most recent stay I had a good room and the breakfast was up to its usual standard at the top end of the choice and quality range that Holiday Inns in the UK provide. I chose to go elsewhere for an evening meal as the current table locations and lighting level in the restaurant (low) are not well suited to dining alone whilst reading a book or newspaper. There is a good selection of pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. Although I am a Priority Club member at the platinum level I did not get a room upgrade during my most recent stay and rarely do at this hotel, apparently as it is generally quite full. 27 June 2012
