Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by First poor experience I have stayed in this Holiday Inn almost every week now for the past 6 months travelling for business. On this stay I have to say I was less than impressed. As a platinum member I did not appear to have any added benefits. I was in a room on 4th floor with 2 single beds. A colleague of mine not on the points scheme was offered a room change to a double bed on his arrival after me - I was not given this opportunity. I then rang reception to try and change to a double room and could not get through for about 20minutes by which point I had to go out anyway. The room had water provided as in the premier rooms but this was not replenished after the first nights stay. The toilet flush then broke on the morning of my check out. I don't see that being a platinum member afforded me any benefits on this stay. 24 November 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Choice For Business Traveler The Holiday Inn Regents Park is one of only a few London hotels that provides a service in line with or better than similarly branded hotels outside the capital. Typically such hotels adopt a take it or leave it approach to its guests whereas the staff of the Holiday Inn Regents Park really work hard to ensure the customer experience is a positive one. Bedrooms are well maintained and adequately sound-proofed. Common areas (for example the first floor bar area, are well appointed and welcoming at any time of day. The location of the hotel relative to tube and bus connections could hardly be better. 22 November 2013

The staff were exceedingly helpful, well spoken and always cheerful. I would recommend it to any person with an early appointment at RNOH who live out of London. 22 November 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and surprisingly quiet The hotel prices on the desk are astonishing, but it's good value if you pre-book with a deal. The hotel room is comfortable enough and the desk staff are helpful and friendly. The key use in the lift is not clarified sufficiently, either by signage in the lift or by the desk staff - we had to rescue two people who were going up and down without being able to access their floor. They had their keys, just hadn't been told. We attempted to go for a drink at the bar, but gave up. The two staff were unsmiling, obviously not having a good time at all, did not acknowledge us and were fulfilling long table orders. Having waited for ten minutes, we decided to go out for a drink instead which was definitely the right decision. 13 November 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Definitely Yes This was by far the most comfortable stay at any hotel that I have stayed so far. Clean,spacious room with a comfortable bed along with a good working space. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Loved the breakfast. I am already missing it. Very well connected to the tube and is centrally located. I was able to visit all the important places to see quite easily. Loved the fact that you can practically walk to Oxford Street from the hotel. 06 November 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superb service and great sleep I stayed for 2 nights. The room was comfortable with plenty of space and work space. I was able to sleep well which is not usually the case when I come to London as it is so noisy - but the soundproofing in the room was great. What really made the hotel so good for me though was the staff - they were so helpful and accomodating and for that reason alone I would definately stay here again. The hotel is so close to Oxford Street and there is a fabulous Tai restaurant within waking distance. One suggestion for the hotel - slightly more choices of vegeterian food or fish dishes, would be good, and not all vegeterians like goat's cheese !! But overall, great location, very clean room, love the choice of pillows and your staff are your biggest asset, look after them! Thank you.. 04 November 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service and very friendly hotel I thoroughtly enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The staff and concierge were all kind, friendly and very helpful. I felt secure because of the lift only working by card. The position is excellent and near the tube, buses, etc. Only a 10 minute walk to Oxford Street, Oxford Circus, etc. The room was clean, well equipped and I was given extra pillows, blankets, scissors, speciality teas which arrived a few seconds after I requested them. The breakfast was excellent and the large mugs were a pleasure after the small coffee cups in other hotels. The poached eggs that I requested were excellent. Would definitely stay there again and I hope very soon!!! 26 October 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fresh clean room. Very helpful staff Stayed as part of a Show and Stay package for my wife's birthday. The reception staff couldn't have been more helpful and took pride in their work introducing us to all the facilities on offer. The room was available earlier than expected enabling us to relieve ourselves of our bags before heading off to Oxford Street. My wife commented on the fresh smell in the room on arrival. Very clean, comfortable and the inclusive breakfast was superb. Altogether a very enjoyable weekend all round and we would have no hesitation in booking again. 23 October 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tired and expensive This Hotel needs revamping from Management down to accomodation standards. As a Platinum Elite member services differ negatively to other properties in the chain. No free wifi or water in the room. We were also subjected to a fire alarm going off at breakfast on day 1 and whilst safety is paramount, there was no excuse for holding a test at the same time the following morning. Over priced for what you get and anyone paying the full rack rate are in for a disappointment. 20 October 2013

The concierge desk helped me plan my day and suggested a walking route that covers major attractions I wanted to see. The front desk informed me of delays in train service as I was leaving for the airport and offered to get me a taxi and gave complimentary coffee and croissants while I was waiting for my taxi to arrive. 11 October 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely helpful staff After an initial 'hiccup' when the rooms we had specifically requested (disabled access with connecting room - essential for our stay) were not available, our experience ultimately was excellent. Staff on duty at the time of our arrival could not have been more helpful in finding a solution to our problem and the continued care we received during our stay was greatly appreciated, especially by my 92 year old, wheelchair-bound mother-in-law who had a wonderful time. 10 October 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 60 family and friends happy to stay at the Holiday Inn Regents park Over 60 family and friends from all over the world travelled to London and stayed at The Holiday Inn Regents Park from 27th to 30th Sept 2013 for my daughters wedding. The Reception staff could not do enough to help us, from a smooth check in process to changing rooms if they did not suit. providing extras without request - cups of coffee when I was busy checking my guests in and tea for my disabled mother were most welcome. . The rooms were very clean, beds comfy and the usual items available. Room service was quick and efficient, the maids worked very hard cleaning the rooms each day. Ali the concierge worked tirelessly helping us with luggage, Taxis and anything else we asked. Restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful especially accommodating so many of us at mealtimes. Breakfast was very good with a variety of food to choose from, pancakes being everyone's favourite. The Evening meal was fantastic with use of a private restaurant for my family, Chef Stuart must be thanked for his lovely meal I did not hear one complaint over the weekend and everyone went home happy and talking about doing it again sometime soon 03 October 2013

We saw that one elderly couple were looked after very well at their check-in, escorted to the lift , and demonstrated how to use their room key for the lift. It was very nice to see that. Our room was clean and there was complementary chocolate, still water, and sparkling water. We were warned properly not to move any stuff in the fridge otherwise it will be charged automatically. There was a fixed hair dryer and enough towels. The breakfast was amazing and it was shame we did not have time to make own pancake! We had lunch at the hotel, included in the course, which was lovely as well, especially profiteroles! It was pleasant stay, thank you very much. 02 October 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great location, friendly staff - tired bathroom I stay at Holiday Inns quite regularly, but this was my first visit to the Regent's Park one. The location, just behind Great Portland Street station, is great for tourists and those in London on business. My greeting at reception was friendly and my check in was swift and smooth. I checked that the hotel knew I was a Priority Club member (or iHG member, whatever it is now called) and the receptionist advised me that they were aware and that the points for my stay would be added to my membership account. I was allocated a room on the second floor. This surprised me a bit as at other Holidays Inns, being a Priority Club member, I have always been allocated a room on a floor towards the top of the hotel. I got the lift to my floor (you need to use your key card to activate the lift which is a good security feature). The bedroom area of my room was fine, but I wouldn't class it as 4 star. It had an open style wardrobe area with a hanging rail (more budget hotel style). I also think my room may have been above the restaurant, bar or some other public area which is not ideal. My gripe with the room (251) was the tired state of the bathroom. The tiles and grouting around the bath need attention!. I don't expect to see this in a 4 star hotel. I think Holiday Inn need to pull their socks up regarding maintenance of the property. People expect better standards from a four star hotel. Anyone wanting to use Wi-Fi (let's face it, that's just about everyone these days) be aware it is chargeable and expensive. The area was very noisy at night with party goers. I know it was a Friday night in a major city, so this is only to be expected. I don't think being a Priority Club member gave me any benefits at this particular Holiday Inn which is disappointing. Loyalty should be rewarded. All in all, great location but not a four star experience. Ok if you can get a price deal, but I don't think I'd stay at this particular Holiday Inn again. I've stayed at the Premier Inn near Kings Cross and had a bigger room, cheaper rate and quieter night. Oh, and the bathroom there was in perfect condition. Although I encountered very friendly, polite and efficient staff, sadly the hotel itself did not offer me the expected Holiday Inn standards and experience. 01 October 2013

The hotel is located close to the subway station (Great Portland station, less than 5 min walk) and allows a convenient access to other London areas. There are convenient stores near the station. The Regent's park is within 10 min walk and the neighbour is quiet. The room was relatively spacious and comfortable (equipped with a hair dryer and ironing set). There was a refrigerator in the room, but no space for a personal storage was inconvenient. The Wifi was not free, and the short time connection feels expensive, but if you stay longer, it will be around 10GBP/day (with two connecting devices). The receptionists were kind and responsive. 27 September 2013

Reception area is so stark and uncomfortable looking. There is no warmth at all. We couldn't believe it that breakfast not included for the price we paid for the room. We would definitely not be staying at this hotel again and would not recommend it. 26 September 2013
