Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Staff's level I have checked in with a car and pay the parking. I need a card for in and out in that day. But the first time, the staff give me a card just for one time entry, the second time I ask a card for multi entry for that day, the staff understanded and give me a new card for multi entries. Unfortunately, it is still an one entry card! That's the work level of them. 18 June 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Front Desk Customer Service and LOUD Protest Bullhorns at 6:45AM My last stay here was fine but this last visit left me feeling very frustrated with the staff. I pulled up in my rental car to check in which should take 2-3 minutes. I saw no signs instructing me to pull through the parking gate. I was asked to move my rental car even though it was about 2 cars back from the entrance. I moved it but then had to get back in line to check in. No real problem here but honestly they could have checked me in and then had me move the car (she already had my DL and it should have only taken a few moments to finish). That night I asked about getting a receipt under my door and was told that at 3AM it would happen. The next morning there was no receipt under my door but there WAS a group of people chanting loudly (some on bullhorns) at 6:45AM and marching with signs. This is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE to be woken up this early and to have to deal with noise blaring into the hotel lobby!!!! I went downstairs, stood in line and asked about getting a receipt after briefly explaining that there was none under my door. The male at the desk said he'd take care of it while I stepped away from the desk for 2-3 minutes. When I came back I got in line again and as he was leaving. I asked if he had done it and he just shook his head "no". So, I started over with a new person and it took 2 additional people 10 minutes to figure out how to give me a receipt because I had booked through my company's travel site. I have NEVER had an issue with any hotel including this exact hotel in the past getting a receipt. Another 15 minutes wasted in an already-unpleasant morning. I confirmed that my parking was paid on the receipt and they indicated yes and that I was all set to go. When I went to leave, the gate would not open. Pressing the intercom button resulted in no help so after 2 cars backed up behind me, I pulled up to the front where I saw a sign which indicated that the parking card had to be validated up front. So, I went back to the front desk again and waited in line again to have them validate my card. The gross lack of proficiency of the front desk staff cost me a half hour Wednesday morning. Some of the front desk staff didn't seem very concerned about getting me a receipt and seemed preoccupied with the protesters and noise blaring into the lobby. I expect more for the money I paid than this lousy experience and customer service. 17 June 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient but watch out for shuttle, fitness room I have stayed at this hotel several times when I am in the LA area and have an early morning flight. Rooms are nice, room service good, adequate bar for the size facility. Big drawback is the fitness center cannot be reached from inside the main hotel - you have to go outside, along the pool. When I was there the air conditioning apparently not working and it was stifling inside so was not able to use it. I asked at check-in about a 6:30 a.m. shuttle I was told no problem. So, came down at 6:20 and was told it was gone, that it runs every 15 or 20 minutes and not on a schedule. I think we pulled away around 6:45, but then it went to the La Quinta where a group of about 35 Asian tourists with minimal English wanted to get on. Kudos to the driver for handling it well, but we were there several minutes while he got through to them that it was not a "charter" and he only take 10 then they decided which ten. Given that LAX is a parking lot at that hour, I ended up cutting it a lot closer than I would have liked. In fairness, that is the first time in several stays i have had a problem with either the shuttle or fitness center. This is a good place for an early morning flight, beats getting up at 4 a.m. to fight traffic across town from points further away. 17 June 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice and friendly We were happy with our stay overall. the guest bath need updating as aging is evident. over all good. 17 June 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by They Need to Get It Together I can't say staying at this Holiday Inn was the worst hotel experience I've had, but it was certainly nowhere near the best. The staff, while friendly, was completely unable to understand that I was staying two nights, but that each night was under a different corporate credit card. I had all the paperwork with me and explained it multiple times, but was still locked out of my room the second night when I came in late (and all I wanted to do was go to sleep). So I had to explain it AGAIN in order to be let back in. Another staff-related downfall was when I asked the concierge to call me a taxi. He got me into a lurking car service and quoted a high price and told me "that was how much it was"...only later, when I took a return cab back on my own did I realize that I'd been overcharged by the car service. Whether or not the concierge got a cut, I can only wonder. While I was very impressed with lunch in the restaurant, and felt it was worth the value, I was annoyed when it came to breakfast. I was all set to just order when the hostess told me the buffet was "ten dollars," so I went with that option. It was no better than diner food and was definitely worth about $10. Imagine my surprise when I get the bill and it's $18! How the price changed, I will never know, because at that point, staff was nowhere to be found. But the worst part of the stay was being awoken when it was barely light out by what I thought was a homeless man screaming outside the building over and over. Despite me being on the 10th floor, it was loud and persistent to the point where I couldn't sleep anymore. I came to find out later that it was actually 2 guys from an airport shuttle on bullhorns doing a "last call" (for hours)...apparently this is condoned by the hotel despite making rest impossible for its guests. So no, I wouldn't stay here again and would not recommend it to others. The Holiday Inn really needs to get it together, or they will probably end up losing even more customers in the future. 17 June 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean room, great service After a long flight in and a horrible experience with the first hotel I originally booked for my trip, my stay at the Holiday Inn was a huge relief. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and very comfortable. There were only two downsides for me: 1. being woken up at 6AM every morning (except for Saturday and Sunday) by people picketing outside of the hotel - very irritating and uncalled for; 2. the prices in the restaurant. 14 June 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent experience My experience was very good. Only thing I did not like was paying for parking. Cost more per day than the rent car rate. Go figure. Otherwise, the check in and out was very good by a friendly and professional staff. 07 June 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room Ok.... Manager / Front Desk Staff could care less about you as a paying customer Upon arrival to the Hotel from LAX after a long trip. I was dreading the check in process. There were two people being help at the desk and two people waiting in line. I thought, ok this shouldn't be bad....boy was I wrong! The two people at the desk had proplems checking in so it took awhile to get them straighten out. Once they were checked in the next person in line moved to the desk to check in, only to be told to wait a minute because it was shift change and they had to swap out drawers. In the mean time an Air Crew of 4 had move to an unmanned position and right away the door man ran to the back and got another person to help check them in. Instead of help the customers already waiting in line. To make a long story short , it took an unexceptable time to get checked in. I ask for the manager and aked him if Air Crew had priority over regular customers and his answer was yes! Because they have a contract with the Hotel. Don't we all have a contract with the hotel when you make arrangements to stay with them? Next time I'm in LA, I will look for another Hotel to stay at! 06 June 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service and location All staff were just the best and nothing was a problem. The restaurant was just great. Location was good. Concierge was helpful and suggested good things to do. Frequent shuttle to LAX. Definitely would stay at this hotel again. 05 June 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid because of Labor Strike I stayed with my wife here for one night after a long, late flight, arriving at about 1AM in the morning. Early in the morning there were bull horns and protesters waking everyone up at the hotel. When I went to leave the exits were blocked and the protesters threatened me so I walked around to the alley to get out to go get my rental car. The protesters threatened to damage my rental car when I returned so I parked a few blocks away on the street. I complained to the manager and he acted like it was a big surprise to him and tried to make it sound like it was no big deal. BUT MY FAMILY'S PERSONAL SAFETY IS A BIG DEAL! DON'T GO THERE! 04 June 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Experience I enjoyed my stay at the property. Great access to LAX, and a good value for the price. Recommended. 22 May 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great safe location This property is a great safe location. we enjoyed our week there. We can travel the greater west side of L.A. from the hotel. It has all the services we needed. Plenty of secure parking for $15.00 a night. The rooms were clean and has a great maid staff. The staff was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our stay there. 19 May 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Resturant The hotel was great and an ideal location to LAX, However, the hotel restaurant was less than enjoyable. Service was slow and the food was not well prepared. The beer was warm. Would not recommend eating they again. 19 May 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by airport location I was not greeted as a platinum member at check in. However when I had an issue with my room, the team responded. They were not going to be happy until they were 100% sure, I was happy. Great job correcting what could only be described as a unexpected human error. As humans we all make mistakes. Its how you respond to the mistake that makes the difference. 22 April 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No towels I have been to many Holiday Inn hotels throughout the USA and this is the first one I've been to that I wouldn't recommend. I was about to take a shower when I noticed there were no full size towels in my room. After going back to reception to request some full size towels and being told some would be sent up immediately I went back to my room to patiently wait for the towels, they never showed. So I called the front desk twice and they still didn't show up with any towels. Four hours latter I gave up on the towels and skipped the shower. I can't believe the incompetence of the cleaning staff and the front desk staff - I will never stay at LAX Holiday Inn again. 21 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful we had a great time, our only concern is having to walk in traffic to Mc donalds. My husband is handicap and it should be a walkway to the resturant, being so close to the property. 11 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice and cheap very nice hotel. it has a mcdonalds near from the looby. also it has a small pool and very good beds. very close from LAX. 07 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable place After a long flight to LA, it is nice to find a comfortable place to stay that is near the airport with a great staff to attend to all your needs at any time of the day. You feel welcome the moment you step in to the hotel. 03 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good location with supportive staffs I had good experience of staying at Holiday Inn LAX due to very supportive staff to help me during Check-in. Only problem is that I could not fully cover lights by curtains since it was only for side part. 29 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Upgrade as Priority club member was great I appreciated the upgrade as a priority club member 27 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Glad to check in... After a gruelling 12-hour trek from Knoxville, Tennessee, to Los Angeles, thanks to United cancelling my flight to Denver, I arrived at the LAX Holiday Inn feeling relieved and, it must be said, tired. The check-in was fairly relaxed and the room was very pleasant, although, these days, generally speaking, the view out of my hotel window is well below average (and that applies to all the hotels I stay in). The LAX Holiday Inn was no exception, but then again, what do I expect? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of Wilderbeast? The room itself, room 502, was excellent and the staff were friendly. I went to the bar was nightcap, which, I have to say, was a bit dreary. I can't put my finger on it, but it wasn't very cosy. The lighting was wrong, something. Similarly, the next morning, I wasn't overly impressed by the restaurant. Perhaps it needs a refurb? The breakfast wasn't brilliant either compared to other Holiday Inns I've stayed in. Location-wise, not that good, but I put that down to Los Angeles. There was nowhere to go in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. I couldn't wander out and nip into a bar, but then I think that's what LA is like; everybody drives everywhere. Not only that, of course: this was 'an airport hotel' so what do I expect? Overall, it was good. I make a point of staying in Holiday Inns for one reason: brand assurance and they always deliver. 17 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ed & Liz Return from overseas... Not only was the first stay at HI LAX enjoyable, relaxing, accommodating, and catered by expert staff before we set off for a trip "across the pond" the return to HI LAX was just as good. The next morning breakfast buffet was great after trying to get over some jet lag. Whenever we travel to LA (and even the local area) again, we are staying here! Not only was the "Park and Fly" service excellent the location and caring staff made all the difference. Thank you. 16 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I love this place I had a wonderful experience. I have stayed here multiple times while working in Los Angeles. I enjoyed it so much, I send family and friends. The staff is friendly and the food and drinks are great. I visited the restaurant and the bar. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I will definitely come back. A great hotel to just unwind!! 15 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean & Comfortable We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last few years, and whilst it is a little dated we were surprised to read such negative reviews. Given the location to LAX and our early departure we decided to try it again. We were not disappointed. The Porter was extrely helpful and took all our bags to our room. The room is just like many others in the group and could really find no fault. Our biggest problem was extremly noisey inconsiderate neighbours who were banging doors till 4am. The bar is a little dark and may seem uninviting but the staff were fine. We did not use the resturant and left too early for breakfast. Overall we would only say the other guests with negative comments must have been unlucky, For our stay it was fine. 06 March 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by stay at LAX holiday inn shuttle service to hotel left me waiting for over half hour for a pick up. other major hotel shuttles passed by 2 to 3 times while I was waiting. the HI express van passed by 3 times while I was waiting. two airline crews finally got fed up with waiting (they were there waiting when I arrive) and left the area to make other arrangements 06 March 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by As a last resort, stay here I was shocked that in a thriving town at the airport, this hotel was not able to deliver what is expected of a decent place to stay. Food was subpar and very limited in choices Resturant was outdated. Bar was not inviting and outdated. Executive suite that I had was small and very outdated. 05 March 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Service Came in late for my reservation and left at 4:30 am for early flight out of LA airport. My room did not have soap or shampoo. 27 February 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extreme helpfulness We are a family of four (two children, 19 and 14) and wanted to hire a car in order to show our kids the most interesting places in LA. Unfortunately we did not have a lot of time to do it. The desk officer helped us to organize a tour with a bus and to hire a car when we came back, relaxed, from our wonderful tour! A late check out was possible, too. Only the payment of the breakfast was not clear. Our breakfast should be included, but the receptionist told us that our voucher referred only to a continental breakfast and we had a buffet. Nobody advised us of the difference and apparently there was only a breakfast buffet. The hotel is close to the international airport and with a shuttle service. 18 February 2013
