Also I like The International New York Times each morning. Room service sometimes takes longer than I would like but the presentation and quality of service and food is good. Great hotel and service but be aware that they will take the full payment from your credit card on check in even though their web site say "No deposit required". Strange policy. However, the Hotel Manager was understanding but there was nothing he could do as a matter of policy..They chase me down for the deposit as if I am a defaulter when I have been staying there whenever Im in Philippines for my business. If not for the location, I will go elsewhere. I think I should? 04 June 2014

To me, the only downsides were the fairly small size of the swimming pool (which I did not use) and crowding in the breakfast room. That room could perhaps be rearranged to avoid crowding, particularly at the egg station. 04 June 2014

The stay was rewarding as i could relax after 3 days of busy schedule. One minor thing however, I think is addition of a small night light to illuminate the way to the bathroom at night. 03 June 2014

No car needed to shop & dine @ both Glorietta & Greenbelt malls. Attended our 30th College Reunion at the Yakan Room & the staff was most helpful & attentive to all our needs. Beds were comfortable & after a long day of strolling, the shower was most relaxing! We had a la carte breakfast ( which was large portions!) every morning at Flavors. I do not recommend the breakfast buffet unless you are a heavy eater. The superb service makes this Holiday Inn shine! 31 May 2014

Considering that I am a returning guest with more than 20 stays at this hotel - Holiday Inn Makati, and my arrival time being after 2pm, it is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE that I would have to stand at the reception waiting 30 minutes to get my room. A lot of the service staff at the hotel do not seem interested in service at this hotel for this stay; eg. the lobby lounge service personnels could only appear before you to take orders after 10 minutes or more....and this did not happen only once. It is going to take a big and sincere APOLOGY OFFER to make me even consider going back there again...you have a lot to buck up to reach 4-star service standard. 31 May 2014

What I like from the hotel is their service especially the security or the transport personnel in the hotel entrance. Everytime I took a taxi they will assist you and will take note the plate number, this makes me feel safer. The staff were very polite and I was acknowledged as a platinum member. Another thing I like on this hotel is its proximity to malls and airport, my family enjoyed shopping in Glorietta and SM malls. 29 May 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The Staff was excellent, but the elevator... I stay at IHG and other worldwide brands of hotels for the consistency of service and recognition of my status. My stay in Makati was nice, but the major annoyance was the wait for the elevator, which I found incredibly long. In addition, the lack of a RFID sensor and everyone "sliding" the card in to get to their floor seemed to be inefficient. This might be a minor issues for some, but for me, time is precious and despite having three elevators, the wait was excessive. I actually timed a 4 minute wait for the elevator to take me from the Lobby to the Ground floor (one floor down). I should have taken the stairs. 29 May 2014

I began my trip staying at the HISM and ended it at HISM. I visited other towns and islands in between. The service is great; all of the employees that I came into contact with were very friendly. Very comfortable bed, and pillows. The customer service is very good. I say the best part of this facility is the breakfast! Make sure you purchase an included breakfast! It's wonderful!! I really enjoyed the Oz Bar on the rooftop! We had dinner and drinks there on a Saturday night and they even had a live DJ. This bar/restaurant has a very modern feel! I also LOVE that it's connected to the Glorietta Mall! So awesome! I'll definitely be staying here the next time I visit Manila! 28 May 2014

I used to stay at a 5 star hotel just close to the Holiday Inn but have switched to this hotel as the location is good, staff is friendly, room is comfortable and breakfast is good. Good value! Be cautious using the car service at the hotel. They switched this time and did not use the skyway to go to the hotel instead opting for the normal road with the traffic jams. When I asked along why we didn't take the tollway they said it would cost me more. In the past the toll fee was included in their service. The hotel charges PHP 1,500 from the airport to the hotel but one can take a taxi for about a third of this price (safety concerns?) or a booked car outside of the hotel for half of the hotel fee (I have used this before and it is good and safe). I have given the hotel car service numerous opportunities during my stay to transport me around Makati on business but the service is inconsistent and not reliable so now I just walk, so better for my health anyhow. I don't hold this against the hotel as I think this service is outsourced from the hotel. 28 May 2014

When I prepare to take a shower and go out for a nice dinner, the door bell is ringing. Some staff sang the happy birthday song for me. However, I just wore the underwear and stood like a stone with the awkward face near the door. The little birthday party is really surprised in my business trip. After traveling alone, I feel the full of the warm. This is the unique and special experience in my all trips. Definitely, I will go to this hotel next time. 24 May 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Malkati Difference Great staff who always willing to help and provide good service. After having spent 24 hours flying I had returned to the room and hear my wife laughing. At the foot of the bed were 2 swans formed from towels. On the second day the housekeeper (Emman?) had made a small dog and used my wife's sunglasses to make the the art a personal and funny touch!! Just a small example of the type of staff who work at this hotel. I had visited before in November 2013 but was not that impressed with the hotel. After this visit I will be returning in October 2014. The hotel is attached to the mall and provides a safe way to shop (attached to the mall) and return to the hotel without any issues. This hotel has improved since my last visit in November. One of the best hotels in the Manila area that I have visited during the past 7 years. To the staff and management keep up the good work! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A recomended hotel for both business & leisure Exceptionally warm and courteous staff. Each and almost everyone who works for the hotel takes customer service really very seriously. They are very attentive to our need and respond to inquiries and concerns really fast. E.g. 1. They immediately acted on our complain on the wrong table reservation; 2. They offered individual wireless router when we complained for extremely slow to virtually no WIFI signal; 3. They returned our ear plug which was really a small piece of thing when we informed them of it being dropped in the pool and we had a hard time looking for it.; 4. We didnt have our room cleaned during our stay to support their care for the environment campaign, however when we requested for clearing the garbage and replenishment of the toiletries and towels, they came almost immediately. One thing we noticed though during the peak season that we were checked in, the restaurant staffs deployed were very limited and were having difficult time attending to most of the dining guests need. Not only us but neighboring tables had to clear their own tables by bringing used plates or utensils to the nearest attendant on thy own. We have to follow up our coffee for like 4 times before it gets served. Despite of them really running around the whole night here and there, all of them still carries their smile and really give their best to provide service to guest. I would suggest to have better resource planning most specially during peak seasons to better provide equal service and attention to guests need without delays. Another con is the pillow. Though there has an option for soft and firm, the firm isnt firm enough and the soft feels almost nothing . Maybe they should have something like extra firm? I had to used the towels as a base to increase its firmness. Next is the elevator, the waiting time going up and down is just ridiculous. The elevators doesnt seem like high speed and the card readers are not sensitive enough to read the security card causing a lot of guests having the need to go round trip to get to their floors. 24 April 2014
