This hotel is very well located and it is easy to get there.
However I have some points to share with you that I dislike:
1.- room appearance was not good, looks dirt
2.- bathroom looks dirt and old
3.- I stayed on that hotel because I attend a training on a meeting room called "M", which had a noisy air condition equipment,
Holiday inn is a great hotel, I am surprised to have seen the details above and some others that I have not seen in other hotel of same chain.

es la segunda ocación que decido por este hotel al visitar mty por trabajo, muy buen servicio, ubicación y trato de las personas. Habitaciones cómodas y con buen sistema de aislamiento de ruido.

I was not impressed with this stay and embarrassed that I recommended it for two other coworkers. First we were told we could enjoy the seventh floor and this included two drinks in the evenings. When we went the lady told us we could not stay as our rooms on the eight floor did not include that lounge.
The bar area was very poorly attended in the lobby and has minimal selection and poor stock. It took a long time to get a drink each night and she always tried to close the bar a half hour early not allowing anymore drinks.
Then on the last night the power to the room doors went out and each time I needed to get to my room it took 20-45 minutes for maintenance to open the door. The problem was not fixed and I had to do this four times. I was also then told that once I left the room in the morning I would have the same problem therefore I had to bring my luggage with me to breakfast.

I visited this hotel 20 years ago, that time I enjoyed the experience. During this last visit, I just was able to confirm that the maintenance has been poor along this years. The magnifier mirror at the bathroom did not work, it was hanging not been able to stand for adjustment.

We have this kind of room, and I been in others hotels and this was nothing especial. The bathroom was not to good, our door was broken. In the place where was the breakfast, in others hotels there is a person for information, they have water or coffee, I know, there are hours for breakfast and cocktails, but may be You can have someone there.

The internet access at this hotel was the worst I have ever experienced. There was a clear bandwidth issue that prevented me from working in my room between the hours of 7:00am and 12:00am. In the wee hours of the morning I could access the internet, but the connection speed was still very slow. During the 7-12am period connection to the wireless was sometimes possible, but all requests for data via internet explorer or over MS Exchange were met with huge time delays, in excess of 15 minutes sometimes, and sometimes with no reply at all. The technical support line either did not speak english or we were continually disconnected. After over an hour on the help line, they were convinced that my computer was the problem, but it worked just fine in the lobby and in the attached expo center. I will not stay at this property again unless this problem is resolved.

PAGUE CASI 8000 PESOS POR 4 NOCHES, Y ME AHOLOJARON EN HABITACION DE FUMAR, LAS CUALES DEBERIAN NO EXISTIR MAS, EL INTERNET ESTABA MUY LENTO, EL BALCON SUCIO, LE BAÑO CON OLOR DESAGRADABLE, Y NO QUE SE VEIA SUCIO SINO AL PARECER VENIA DEL DRENAJE. LAS ALMOHODAS INCOMODAS, NO TENIA CARTA DE ROOM SERVICE, NI EL LETRO DE NO MOLESTAR..
LO UNICO RESCATABLE DEL LUGAR SU UBICACIÓN, LA ATENCIÓN DEL PERSONAL Y EL PERSONAL MUY AMABLE.
PERO EL HOTEL SE VE VIEJO Y LE HACE FALTA MUCHO SOBRE TODO EN LAS HABITACIÓNES.

El hotel esta en malas condiciones en todos los aspectos, cuartos alfombras, baños, toallas, colchas, sabanas, almohadas etc. lo unico medio rescatable es el restaurante pero viene siendo lo mismo desde hace años.

i stayed for two nigths and can tell that liked very much. The hotel rooms start to show aging. I was not recognized as an IHG platinum member. There was no phone at the room desk. The key did not open the first time but liked that the staff discarded the key in front of me when i mentioned that that could happen to the next visitor. My room view was excellent. I had hard time to get a second bottle of water but later I received extra water bottles in my room. Very nice lobby and public areas. Loved the breakfast, although not cheap it worth the price. Ask for machaca!

Cleanliness, the room itself and the breakfast were good. The evening was very noisy. The quality of the food that was served by the room service was not as expected.

This is a great hotel with excellent surroundings, I am from Monterrey and still use it myself with my family several times a year. This last time the shower drain was stuck and they couldn't fix it, so it was a very bad experience showering 4 times during a two days stay... but that was the only bad part, the rest excellent, as usual.

On November 7th, there was a show at evening. It was too noisy. The singer was listened at all hotel, even inside my room (809). I had to wear plug ears to start to sleep because I had to wake up at 3 am (my flight was at 6 am on November 8th). Often I rate this hotel as excellent, but this is the second time this happens. I wish you could do something to avoid a noisy enviroment during that kind of events.

When i arrived to the hotel, at 3.00 hrs. the employee in the front desk assign me a different room that i was reserved. When i complain he told me that there was the only room avaible, an then, a minnute latter, he told me there is a room of 1 king bed avaible, at the smoking area. It was ok to me, but i realice that this room wasn´t the one offered to me as a Premium Room. THe next morning, i went to the front desk again, complaining about, of they give me the correct room, or revew my proce rate, becouse i was paying a lot more, for an standar room. The employee offers me to change my room, and give an discount for the inconvinience. I frecuentrly have this kinds of errors, when i reserved by phone, and then, when i arrive to the hotel the rroom they offer is not avaible. In the check out, they don´t made any disscount, so all that convined made me inconfortable in this trip.

Overall the stay was nice, the service was excellent, and the staff were friendly. Only bad thing was too many activities at the hotel. It's constantly busy and some events last past midnight and they played loud music.

It is a good place to stay due to the location, the room was clean and comfortable, just the bathroom lights took time to turn on. That day was raining outside and I didn´t hear the noise...... good point!!!!

Very nice primises in Monterrey, with good luxury level and a wonderful city view. Unfortunately, the staff lacks of training and don´t care about you. It took me more tan 15 minutes to register and they didn´t apologize, they even told me that it was my problema for arriving at that time.
I feel sorry for the hotel. Not a place to stay.

Siempre es mi primera opcion cuando viajo a Monterrey, el servicio es de lo mejor, la comida en su restaurante buenisima. El unico detalle y es comun en Holiday Inn son las almohadas, un poco duras para mi gusto, pero quitando eso todo esta perfecto. Gracias

First the room was not able until 5:30pm, the food was really cold, with a poor atention, we need to wait around 40 minutes to get a drink, then in the room we dont received the bottle of water for being a ihg member, and we call to report it to reception but we dont recieve any attention, also they dont change the shampoo , body lotion and soap in two days they just put 1 bottle of each for 2 days. And for the check Out they really are exactly to call for leaving the room but not for give you the room at time. The installations are really old. Example the fish tank they dont clean it since a long time. This was my favorite hotel really, but whith this experience i Will not come back until you fixed all these internal problems.
