Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Montreal Airport My husband and I recently stayed here when arriving late one night and left before checkout the next morning. We did not eat or use any of the amenities. The two employees we encountered upon checking in and out were both very nice and checking in and out where both quick and easy. Our room was nice and clean with a king size bed (that was comfy) and a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was clean and there was shampoo and lotion from bath and body works. The one thing we didn't like about the room is that we really didn't control the temperature. We like it cold for sleeping and the thermostat only went down to a certain temperature and during the night actually shut-off. This piece (to me) is unacceptable because I think I should be able to control the temperature especially when I'm sleeping. The room was on the interior of the hotel so there was no window to open. If we could have opened a window that might have solved the problem. This hotel is not close enough to the airport to hear planes, so that is not a concern. Also, if you arrive late at the night, there restaurant is not open so there is no room service but there is a Tim Horton's close by. 11 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Don't be fooled by the location Although the location suggests noisy, it was very relaxing. We stayed in one of the King Suites with a pool view on one side and courtyard view on the other side. Plenty of room. Kitchen area has only a coffee maker, sink, and microwave. Bring your own supplies if you want to use this area. I realize this area consists of largely french speaking folks, but be prepared for very limited english television. Front desk staff was very helpful and courteous and of course bilingual. On site restaurant is a wonderful atmosphere, however, we were disappointed in the variety and quality of the offerings vs. prices charged. We were so disappointed we did not eat on site again (or room service) for the remainder of our stay. My wife learned some folks got free breakfast and such depending on who you booked hotel through. We booked direct through Holiday Inn site and did not get breakfast. After our less than desirable dinner, we weren't interested in trying the breakfast offerings. 06 September 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never in my life In this journey I stayed at the hotel twice (the night from the 18th to 19th of july and 5-7th of August). In the first staying (only for a night) there weren't any problems but the second time was a nightmare. I had my reservation from the 5th to the 7th of August and everything was ok but we realized that we had to stay one night more. On the evening of the 6th of August I came to the counter and there was a person called Gina who was ALONE with a long long line, having to answer the phone and deal with the customers at the same time. I asked her if there was room to be at the hotel for one more night and she told us that there were rooms but the problem was that she was alone and she couldn't fix it up to let us stay in the same room (without having to change the room#, so she asked me to go back the following day to the counter and fix it up with the people of the morning shift. The following day I came to the counter and I was told by a person called George that there wasn't any vacancy. I complanied explaining to him that Gina had told us that there were room for us but he just told me that there weren't. He told me that Gina shouldn't have been alone at the desk as there should have been a supervisor with her because she was new and she didn't have enough permissions in the computer to see the vacancies for the following day. I came back to my room to make another reservation and I found that in the internet there was vacancy at your hotel #2 rooms#. So I made a reservation and I came down to tell the people at the counter that I had a reservation. This George assured me that there wasn't any vacancy, that it was common for the hotel to overbook it and that many times he has had to tell people at 12 in the night that there wasn't any vacancy. He told me that I would receive an e-mail #thing that never happened# cancellating my reservation and that he advised me to cancel it because, otherwise the room would be charged to my visa. I asked a claiming sheet #you seem not to have one#, I asked to talk to the supervisor, superintendent or whoever I could talk to but nobody came to explain that to me. I also told George that I couldn't understand that if you overbook rooms why was I the one to leave the hotel and why wasn't the last person to come to the hotel #In case anyone doesn't appear the hotel would have had two fares#. In the end I had to leave the hotel #having done a reservation# and go to crowne which was more expensive than what I had reserved at the Holliday Inn. In short: I don't understand how a hotel like this can have the following mistakes and all of them in me. A) A person without enough permissions in the computer is left alone in front of a long line and customers calling at the same time. What if I arrive there to stay for 2 nights? B) You offer 2 rooms in your web page when "theoretically" there wasn't any vacancy. YOUR WEB PAGE NEEDS REPROGRAMMING C# In case it is true that you usually overbook rooms, I find it awful to find an employee who confesses that it is a common practice D) In case, as it seems, you usually overbook, why you don't give the / a room to the first person with a reservation to come?. You would avoid many problems. E) there are no claiming sheets or you cannot talk to the supervisor Due to my job I have travelled a lot #it is the first time I see overbooking hotels# and the first time I found such clumsy people at a desk trying to give explanations to something I considered surrealistic All in all, I don't know if I will make any reservation at a hollday Inn because I don't want to get there and find out that I don't have a room. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE I hope I am not being redundant but when Holiday Inn are fortunate enough to have employees like Sami and Jenny it is hard not to compliment. Once again I stayed for a week at your Holiday Inn. The only reason I return is because of a Manager (Sami) who really cares that his guests enjoy a wonderful and relaxing experience at his Hotel. Add an outstanding receptionist like Jenny who treats you like family and you can't help but thoroughly enjoy your stay. My only fear is because of Samis and Jennys tremendous commitment to excellence is that Holiday Inn will promote them and I will not have the pleasure of dealing with them when I stay at my favourite Hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Montreal Hotel I would certainly recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone staying over or vacationing in Montreal.It is close to the airport with fast and convenient shuttle service or those traveling in their own vehicle they offer free parking during your stay.The staff are very polite and speak fluently in English, something that is not always the case in Quebec Hotels.They have a fine in house dinning room and bar however one of Montreal's finest Steak House.s is just across the street via a pedestrian over pass. 30 August 2014

I t was busy like crazy during the morning, but the servers did a great job at handling the amount of people. Quality of food. Other issue was that the pool was never open until 9pm which was advertised to be open until 9pm. Sometimes 7:30pom, sometimes 8pm. 26 August 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 RW Motion controled air conditioning is not suitable for this application because when I sleep there is no motion in the room, air conditioner doesn't kicks in and I was awaked due to too warm in room. I recommend to use key for mian power off to save energy, not this stupid motion sensor. 22 August 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a great experience ! GPS found this place difficult to find. We were only staying for two nights as a base for the Montreal area. Reception staff on arrival were not up to speed - you need vouchers for breakfast which weren't initially provided and we were quoted the wrong price for an additional breakfast i.e. it cost more than quoted. Breakfast was buffet style but you need to pay extra for kids under 12 to eat from the buffet which we were not told ! The breakfast itself was poorly serviced and the food hot trays were not kept refreshed. The room itself was old and tired. A particularly small bathroom with old furnishings for a room with two double beds. The AC unit was particularly noisy. The one saving grace was the Receptionist on checking out who was understanding particularly when we were sought to be charged more than the rate quoted online. Not a great experience and not a place I would recommend. 17 August 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by cheap hotel with cheap quality and poor service the room we got was for a good deal, but then again I didn't realize how that would mean I would get a room which looks rundown. The complimentary wifi service didn't work from Day one, the A/C in the room didn't seem to be working properly and appliances in the room (safe, coffee maker) looked like they haven't been clean for the past year. The service was horrible as I had to call the front desk twice for every little thing (Tv not working, wifi not working) AND room not being cleaned for one whole day meant no fresh towels or linen! Cannot recommend this place to anyone nor will I stay here again. Would rather pay extra to stay somewhere else. Didn't expect this from a Holiday inn hotel. 15 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great food and great pool ! Awesome stay at this hotel. The food at the restaurant was over the top ! We liked the pool, it was kids friendly and had a lifeguard on duty. We had a suite on the atrium and it was renovated and a nice room. From the back door of the room, there was access to the "slash pad" in the outdoor court. Very nice place to send the kids as the area is surrounded by rooms so the kids are safe and contained within the court. The suite was well designed, with the bedroom at the back and the hallway and bathroom separating the kitchen and living area (kids slept on the pullout couch). Big table with chairs in the kitchen to have family meals or snacks. Two tv's, one in the living area and one in the bedroom so kids can watch what they want and adults too. We would definitely return. The only issue (that i forgot to mention in the survey i received...) is that there were no pillows, sheets and blankets for the pull-out couch in the room. We had reserved the room for 2 adults, 2 children. By knowing this, the housekeeping should be notified when they get a room like that ready that the extra linen and pillows will be needed and leave them in the room. We were too busy thinking about going to the pool and have a nice dinner that i only realized after dinner that we needed the stuff for the pullout couch, but by then it was past 8pm... We called front desk and waited till 9 pm and nothing yet, so i had to call again and it showed up 10 minutes later. So just some advice to families, call early to make sure you get the stuff for the pullout couch, don't wait like we did ! 11 August 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My Canadian "Home away from Home" For the TENTH time in less than two years I have returned to one of the Worlds great hotels. What makes a hotel great? FIRST location. A quick shuttle trip from the Airport. In a similar time they will take you to the nearest Metro station. IF you are driving yourself EASY access to go "Downtown" or to Highways for journeys in ANY direction. Back at the hotel ALL staff members a FLUENTLY bilingual. Although this visit we had no time to enjoy the culinary delights or the superb bar, on previous trips we DID! The pool and spa are a "Joy" as are the rooms. Only no "Fox News" makes the rating 99.999. Keep up the good work 01 August 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great stay We stayed here because so many on the downtown Montreal hotels had no parking. We drove in each day to a parking ramp and got on the On-Off- Bus city tour. It worked out great. The Holiday Inn was very nice. The staff was exceptional. Our room was wonderful. We are so glad we stayed there. 30 July 2014
