the stay was most enjoyable with good service generally, however the hotel is in need of refurbishment to bedrooms and bathrooms and the sound attenuation between the bedrooms is very poor so we were kept awake by people in the next room. there was also a problem with the actual cost of the stay in that when i booked the week before at the hotel as stayed there for three nights i was promised that the cost would be that as could be found on the internet, but when this was shown to the hotel it was rejected

I stayed at the Moscow - Lesnaya hotel on Monday 12/16/13 to 12/21/13 and had a good time. The service was very good, the room was clean comfortable and free internet for IHG members is always good.
They have a good buffet breakfast for 1 price. All you can eat.
My birthday was on 12/19 and when i got to my room in the early evening, there was a piece of nice birthday cheese cake and a nice birthday message waiting for me.It was a nice thought and I did not even mention it was my birthday. I guess they got it from my passport.
Overall I had a good time there and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
If I come to Moscow again, I will be staying at this hotel because the price is great and the service is good.

I stayed in this hotel five times throughout 2013. These stays were mainly for seven days.
The central location of the hotel with its proximity to Belorusskaya Train Station and Tverskaya Blvd. makes it a great base for visiting customers around Moscow as well as doing sightseeing trips (the Kremlin is only a few short minutes away).
The rates and prices are ok for Moscow. All standards which are expected in a hotel like this are kept well.
One of the most positive features of this hotel is the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. I specially complement the reception staff who despite having to deal with a large number of guests every day still manage to appear genuinely friendly and helpful.
The same is true for the restaurant and waiting (also room service) staff. One memorable moment was when one of the senior staff in the restaurant came to my table at breakfast to personally welcome me as she recognized me from previous visits.
When considering that friendly staff is not a guarantee in Moscow, sometimes not even in high-class restaurants, I must complement the management of this hotel to find such great people.
I am already looking forward to staying at this hotel for my next trip to Moscow in 2014.

Nice hotel and great location. From the Belarus station and trains to the airport walk 7-10 minutes to the subway 3-5 minutes. Tverskaya 3-5 minutes. The staff is attentive. Breakfast is good

This hotel is close to the Beloruskaya railway station (direct access to the airport of SVO) and good connection by metro to the center of the city.
I was with a friend who booked a room in standard and I booked one in Executive. It is a pitty to have to pay for internet connection in the room. And if I want to take my breakfast with my friend I have to pay extra in the restaurant because only access to the executive lounge is included.

I don't want to recommend Holiday Inn lesnoy in Moscow
I'm IHG gold member & stayed 4 times in this hotel,
the service qaulity is really poor & bad
frankly the location is the best for my office,
I just selected but I don't want to stay any more.
I visited first time on september of 2012,
I requested IHG membershoip to hotel staff but they forgot.
they missed my application. I claimed it but they just said
they didnot receve application form..
2nd visit on January of 2013,
I asked sunny side-up to egg cook to in the morning buffet
but he ( named Maxim ) rejected it because egg is out of
stock,, that time is 7:30 A.M. he didnot any excuse to me
& I asked again but he just sneered at me..
moreover he provided sunny side-up when some russian
woman asked to egg after 1 minite. therefore I thought that
he was a racist & wrote a claim letter to the hotel,
they didnot any reply to me during my stay.
& this hotel didnot provide complimentay water excxept first day,
although I am gold member. frankly I am a gold member in
Marriot chain, they are different.
4th visit on May of 2013,
Hotel staff input another membership number in my invoice,
I missed milage. therefore I requested to fix missing mile
through IHG internet on 15th of Jun, but they didnot fix it until
1st of Oct. they asked invoice copy 2 times, I sent 2 times
but they did do nothing. I sent claim letter several times,
I think that IHG is one of the best chain in the world,
but I changed my mind & I cancelled hotel booking
on Oct. Although the location is the best for me,
I want to go to another Hotel..
I was so disappointed with poor service of Holiday in
Moscow & Internet servie of IHG group.

We chose the Holiday Inn Moscow Lesnaya for it's central location, as we were only for one night in Moscow because it wasn't our final destination. The location was indeed perfect: central and still quite enough for relaxing. The staff was very attentive to our wishes: for example as we asked to get slippers, we only waited for max. 5 minutes to get it on the room. Though we didn't have breakfast there, we had our dinner at the hotel restaurant and can only advise it to the guests: professional staff, good food and reasonnable prices for Moscow.
All in all, this hotel offers all what we could expect of an Holiday Inn.

Holiday Inn Moscow Lesnaya is an excellent hotel with good facilities in a great location to visit Moscow and very close to Belorusskij station where you can take the Aeroexpress for Sheremetyevo Airport
I particularly enjoyed the cleanliness and comfort of the executive room and also the kindness of the staff.
So I will definitely stay in this hotel in my next stay in Moscow.

We booked a nonsmoking executive room that was spacious, modern, and very comfortable. I don't believe that you can find a better room/hotel at this price point in all of Moscow. Besides the excellent value, the room was quiet, clean, and you had a choice of pillow firmness. You also had access to an executive lounge that provided you with breakfast and nonalcoholic drinks throughout the day. The staff at the hotel were friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful in providing information on Moscow. The excellent Moscow metro is only two blocks away; kremlin and red square are only a couple of metro stops away.

It is a shame that in Executive lounge one can find only water and soft sparkling drinks, some dry cookies, coffee, tea, some fruits and nothing more.
No food whatsoever, no any alcohol drinks.
For hotel that charges their rooms $300-400 this is a real disgrace!

The Lesnaya Holiday Inn hotel is conveniently located near the Belorus Railway station. From there you have the express train to the Sheremetsjevo airport. The hotel is also not too far from the centre of Moscow. So no hassle with taxis and traffic jams. Friendly and helpful staff.

I travel quite a lot and most of the times I stay at IHG hotels and mainly as executive.
At Lesnaya the executive service is negligible. It is the worst service that you can find in any IHG hotels. No happy hour at the lounge , no personal attention at the lounge , not even free wifi in the room while it was mentioned in the site when we have been booking the room.
This hotel is only good in case you stay in this hotel for tourism. If you go to Moscow and you want to stay as business , this hotel does not offer anything serious for business. I am not happy at all with the executive service and we paid quite a lot for it.
