Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OK Stay Modern room with good facilities. Found bed and tables too large for room as encountered problems with curtains when closing. Bath-tiles need a good clean in shower Shower screen seal need replacing Awkward position for room heating controls to adjust Fan needs adjusting as goes on along time after you turn the light off, you end up using the external fan switch to switch this off all together. Internal signage is wrong for room from lifts, decided to keep to stairs but not good for heavy case. Found reception area to be very bland and a little airport like Overall not bad, but could with minor adjustments especially for cleaning issues be good January 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Close to Newcastle metro Comfortable business hotel in convenient location. I used the Newcastle metro every day, which is a 5 minute walk away. Actually from Jesmond, getting onto the Metro is a more comfortable experience than the centre of Newcastle as the station is much less busy. With the Centre of Newcastle only 5 minutes by Metro. The Hotel is a 15 minutes walk from the centre of Newcastle which I did one evening. Not a walk I would recommend to my daughter or wife, especially in the winter dark, but only because of the inner city nature and proximity to university. Most people would probably take a 5 minute metro journey for £1.70 each way (Jan 2016). I didn't use the car park, but there seems to be a lot of parking. The WiFi is always on, unlike some hotels which seem to have regular problems with availability. However, the complimentary WiFi speed is a bit slow at only 2mb, but fine for work. My visit included a horizontal snow storm and -3 nighttime temperatures, but the hotel was always warm and comfortable during the night. January 25, 2016
