Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall: comfortable hotel, cleanliness and service superb Our first night spent in this hotel, all the public rooms/bars were cold, therefore unable to comfortably sit and relax. The second evening, when the central fire was lit, the atmosphere was completely different: people sitting around enjoying conversation and drinks - it was lovely. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Business trip in Newport Hotel seems quiet old but bathrooms were renovated I assume. Staff were very friendly.I have stayed there for 2 weeks and I enjoyed my stay. Second week my room was bigger (upgraded for free to exclusive room) and had some cookies,orange juice,mineral water for free everyday. Having a restaurant in the hotel is a plus,you can have delicious and proper international meal. 24 March 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lounge sitting vs function travel area The two areas are shared and on the Saturday night there was a "Party" in one of the conference rooms sharing the lounge walkway. By 9p.m. many of the party guests were inebriated, some to the point that they couldn't stand. It is a shame that the lounge area has to share this experience. The staff had gathered around the reception area and, were coping well, but were literally standing, "waiting for trouble". I saw a number of residents leave the lounge area and particularly the bar (which was adjacent) being used by the partygoers, during this time, there-bye losing the hotel revenue. I must emphasise that I was not threatened, but disconcerted at the likely outcome and its opportunity/ likelihood to spill over into the lounge. Otherwise we had a lovely stay and will be back. 05 March 2015

The interior was modern bright and fresh. The staff so helpful and friendly. For a cheap night away you can't go wrong. 05 March 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 excellent Booked holiday inn in newport for our first year anniversary as we go got there last year and we was upgraded to the executive suite free of charge also I ordered flowers to be put in room on arrival and my wife was over the moon with them excellent quality. Will definatly recommend to oyhers and will be staying there again in the close future 05 March 2015

Food, good, although I've gone through the menu now (need to make the chips, bar meals, better though#.
