I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights from the 14th December. i arrived at 8pm and was greeted by the reception, upon checking in i was told due to about 6 people staying the restaurant was closed, which was Ok as i could have bar food. i went to my room which was their version of an executive room, i was very disappointed with the room although clean it was like late 80's/90's decoration. To say it was an executive was a poor excuse. As a platinium elite member i stay in a lot of Holiday Inn hotels so i know what too expect.
the next morning i went down for breakfast and was greeted with dirty glasses and crockery. I asked the waitress to get me some clean items which she did gladly and said that it was her first day back and that the night time staff never look to see the condition of crockery etc.
That night after a late night working i got to my room to find an open half filled bottle of water that the cleaner must have had as i hadnt had any water, it doesnt take much time to put things in the bin, that then got me thinking how clean is my room really. I complained to the receptionist and she said she would speak to the duty manager, when i returned from my dinner there were 6 bottles of water in my room, not really what i asked for!!!!!!
Every morning i was greeted by dirty glasses and crockery, it wasnt until my last morning that the waitress told me that the dishwasher was unless and needed either cleaning or replacing.
when i checked out i was asked if i enjoyed my stay too which i explained my issues, the receptionist said that he would credit my account 5000 points for the inconvenience but as yet i havent received them, also he said he would get the manager to give me a call. Again as yet i havent received a call.
I will never stay at this Hotel again

Although there were issues with the level of party music noise, the staff were amazingly helpful, thoughtful and cheery. A very pleasant hotel.

Room clean and tidy but bedroom a bit small. Paid for 'free' bar but spirits not included. Lady on reception was lovely really pleasant and helpful, bar and waiting staff not so much, just there to do a job. Paid for 3 course dinner with only sweet options for pudding would of liked to have a savoury option such as cheese and crackers? Breakfast itself was really tasty however I had to stand around waiting for beans, eggs and bacon which had all ran out and had to ask several staff. Coffee cups were stained but put on tables anyway. Spent five minutes looking around where to get the coffee from before a member of staff brought the jug over to us.
Overall a good experience but a few minor things let the hotel down.
Would use again though
