Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by not so young cyclist Great service
Came up to Norwich to ride the Norwich 50 mile cycle event so wanted a good nights sleep and a hearty breakfast which is exactly what I got. My wife who did not cycle had a later breakfast (no problem whatever) and checked out before I finished the ride. I got back to meet her at the hotel after midday and we asked it it would be possible to go back to our room and have a shower. No problem whatever for which I was most grateful. Thoroughly recommend this hotel!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Addict! Spotlessly clean and inviting!
As soon as you walk through the door the hotel looks fresh and clean. All staff look smart, work with a smile on their face and are polite and obliging to guests. In fact, nothing was too much trouble! We had a fantastic view of Norwich Football Pitch from our room. Bed linen was crisp and white. Plenty of pillows were supplied. Lighting was good, as there was, main light, bedside lights, floor lamp, desk light, a light above the mirrors as well as good lighting in the bathroom. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, with hand wash, shampoo and body wash supplied. The towels were soft, fluffy and white! There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Breakfast was brilliant! It was Buffet style, so you could go and help yourself to whatever you wanted! There was so much choice, from cereals to fresh fruit salads, cakes and croissants, ham, cheese, breads, full English, (bacon, sausage, hash browns, tomatoes, scrambled egg, mushrooms and baked beans), smoothies, toast and jams, honey, marmite etc. As well as three different fruit juice machines, and a tea/coffee machine with a selection of teas and coffees. The staff worked very hard to keep guests happy. You were greeted with a pleasant "Good Morning" and left with a "Thank-you and have a nice day!" Again, nothing was too much trouble!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn and would definitely recommend it!

One of the best Holiday Inns I have stayed in. The room was spacious and have a great view of the football pitch. I didn't realise it's proximity to the football stadium and would be a great place to stay if coming to Norwich for the game. Not too far to walk to town and the cathedral. If I visit Norwich again I will definitely stay here.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Stemo Excellent staff, clean hotel, uncomfortable bed/pillows
We stay at IHG group hotels worldwide and generally enjoy the comfort and the hospitality. The Norwich hotel was clean and the staff welcoming. Unfortunately, our decision to eat dinner in the lounge was a mistake! There was a coach party filling the restaurant and so it appeared a good idea to use the lounge. Our waiter was extremely polite but the food, when it arrived looked good but lacked attention to detail. My wife's Caesar salad with salmon was made with regular lettuce instead of iceberg and so was 'limp' and unappetizing. I chose 'fish and chips' but only the peas were hot and the fish and chips just 'warm' - the waiter was nowhere to be seen. The people seated behind us walked out and the people next to us managed to get served by the bar staff but we sat and sat, ignored. We wanted to order a desert to compensate for the main course but finally walked out only to be greeted by a phone call in our room asking why we had not waited to sign the bill!! The pillows (foam) were uncomfortable, the bed unforgiving and the shower really needed a grab rail when trying to climb out. But we still love IHG and will try Intercontinental next time perhaps..........

Misleading website as Norwich City suggested location much closer and within easy walking distance. No Restaurants nearby and without car, needed to call taxi to City and places of interest.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy21! All the employee's attitude to service from the Manager to the Waiters/tress were outstanding!
I chose this hotel at short notice, after not being able to afford a local Bed and Breakfast near my parents in North Whalsham. I honestly was not expecting much, as the only impression I had, had previously of Holiday Inn, was that it just looked cheap and cheerful and you got what you paid for. I booked my room via a booking agency and was able to get a family room to accommodate myself as a single mum and two young boys (10 and 12). Upon first sight of the hotel I was taken aback ! I initially thought the taxi driver had brought me to the wrong place - the building looked ultra modern and beautiful! I was immediately taken aback once more, when I walked inside and saw the impressive layout and we all felt warmly welcomed by the manager on duty whom did not seemed phased by the fact that myself and my two adorable monsters would be staying in the hotel. When we entered our family room - WOW - 5 star comfort or what!!! Clean bedding, new and ultra modern furniture, fittings etc. I was totally astounded! I looked around the room at the beautiful bathroom - the bathroom of my dreams! I then tested the bed, the kettle, T.V etc. etc. Wow! I had really been awarded the bargain of the century! My only complaint was the fact that the agency I made the booking through, did not inform me that there would be a Liverpool - Norwich match and 6,000 Liverpool fans may turn up!!!! Due to my son's ASD this resulted in me having to book an extra night. The staff yet again could not do enough for me and ensured that everything was sorted out and ran smoothly. I could really go on to write pages about the many positive experience's I had at Holiday Inn Norwich but to put it in a nutshell - If you have a family this is the ideal place to come. I don't and the transport links are within easy walking distance, Shops are located within a minutes walk away, the hotel arranges for you and your family to use the local swimming pool for free and all in all a truly brilliant experience for my whole family despite the fact that my boys fell in love with about four waitress'es!! Thank you Holiday Inn for a marvelous break. I will most assuredly have no hesitation to return again and know without a doubt I will be well looked after and all my families needs met.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by footballfan66 Excellent - again!
I booked two nights on separate occasions. The second time,
I wanted the same room as the first booking. I spoke to a lovely lady called Jill who suggested I book online then call back so she could confirm the same room numbers. This went without a problem!
At the bar, I had a good chat with Bill who made the stay more interesting.
If you haven't pre-booked a breakfast, remember to ask for vouchers when checking in to save about a fiver per person. The breakfast choice is superb.
My wife and I love coming here and now lost count the number of stays we have had at this hotel!

Very clean and smart room and hotel. Pre-warned about wife's need for a gluten free breakfast and found that gluten free rolls were then provided and gluten free sausages were supplied and cooked separately on demand by the chef.
Very handy for concert at the Waterfront venue which was easy walking distance. Riverside shops/bars and restaurants within walking distance but far enough away to not be disturbed by the night life at all.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EdCL Valuable & Enjoyable Stay Again
I choose the Holiday Inn @ Carrow Road for my business trips to Norwich because it meets all of my requirements with the minimum of fuss and maximum of hospitality. The room is spacious and comfortable, ideal for work, meetings or just relaxing with some room service.
The Bar/Restaurant area is also a great facility for meetings-informal, yet, again, spacious and laid out in a manner that means I can meet clients here and feel entirely comfortable that they are going to feel the same way about where we are discussing my work and current/future projects.
The staff are personable, friendly and ever aware of your needs, both in the now and what might be needed in the future-in short, they're great.
Am very glad to see that you might, finally (its been a long haul!) got the issues with Broadband sorted out.
But any chance you might not run out of hot water so quickly-warm shallow baths are not the best way to end a long day!
Many thanks, see you again soon.

All is very good with this hotel usually, and have stayed there regularly as both an IHG rewards member and not.
This time however I was a little let down by the air con in room 610. Every two minutes it sounded like a coin was being thrown down the vent and keeping myself and my partner awake.
I have no objection to the hotel, it is delightful, however on this occasion I was a little disappointed by this experience.
Would still recommend.
