Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable one-night stay I booked two rooms, one superior double and the other a basic twin for 3 adults and one child. No problems with the superior room but with the basic twin we needed to contact housekeeping for teabags and a clean towel when we arrived (no tea in the complimentary set and one towel had fallen on the floor right by the side of the toilet and neither or us fancied using it) and they took a good 40 minutes to remedy this. Overall, an enjoyable stay - comfy beds and friendly reception staff. 20 November 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location for Family Visit No outgoing phone service available from our room and no offer of correcting the situation. Felt the cleaning staff could have cleaned the room and bathroom better. Each morning at breakfast the surface of the tables were sticky. At breakfast food was left out too long and eggs and bacon dried up and sausages overcooked. Overall, not impressed with this hotel. 11 November 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Overpriced and inefficient I stupidly thought that Holiday Inn Norwich would be of a similar quality to their sister hotel in Blonk Street, Sheffield where I have stayed many times. However it is much older, bathroom very outdated with a grubby looking floor and fixed shower over the bath. Service was unprofessional due to many problems with a "new system" which had been installed the week before. Bar snacks and breakfast vastly overpriced although dinner in the restaurant was very reasonable. We encountered problems checking in and checking out and were overcharged initially. It took about half an hour to sort the refund. They were short staffed at reception so took a long time checking out on the Sunday morning. There is no lift at this hotel. I will not be staying there again. 09 November 2014
