The bar staff do not like to be disturbed too much by customers and the Becks Vier is very warm. Woe betide you should you wish to have ice and lemon in a Bacardi and coke as this will be greeted by sulking bar maid.

During our stay the hairdryer was not working and there was no replacement readily available in the hotel . Emma on the front desk sent out for a spare from another Holiday Inn in the area . That's excellent customer service - thank 's Emma esp from my wife !

The hotel is clearly an older model, but still looking pretty good for her age!, the rooms are a little tired but absolutely fine. Staff were overall very friendly but the restaurant was a bit shambolic. Food was really nice, and presented very hot indeed, but I waited for 25 minutes for the bill before giving up and walking out. I did mention upon checkout that I owed for some drinks but was unable to make the receptionist understand, she was very friendly but seemed distracted. Breakfast was also challenging, at no point was I offered a second cup of coffee and my table was not cleared at all, there was very little room left at the end of the meal with 4 plates and dishes piling up! This is a very good location and, with a bit of staff training ( or maybe some additional staff), would be very good indeed.
