Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent except at check-in I would have liked a warmer welcome at check-in. I was not spoken to as a member and no attempt was made to give me wi-fi details. We only used the resturant for breakfast but must commmend the staff for their friendly attention and help 12 December 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Short break This hotel is ideal for sampling the delights that the city centre has to offer due to its convenient location. The city centre can be accessed with a short stroll along the canal and there are also plenty of amenities close by including a supermarket and fast food outlets. The reason I have rated this hotel low is based purely on the discomfort endured due to the temperature. Despite turning off the radiator and leaving the window ajar it was impossible to regulate the room temperature and so a rather uncomfortable night was had in a stuffy environment. Having the window open also allowed traffic noise and party revellers to add to what was a rather uncomfortable stay, 12 December 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel, shame about the breakfast We stayed for a Saturday night break and first impressions were good. The room was comfortable and Saturday night dinner although not gourmet was adequate. But what a shambles Sunday morning breakfast was! The restaurant is not big enough to cater for all guests therefore it was necessary to queue. The slowness of clearing vacated tables did not help. The food ran out and was slow to be replaced. The plates ran out and the new ones put out were cold (despite being in a plate warmer warning us to beware of hot plates). Probably the worst breakfast experience I have had in a hotel. 27 November 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Inadequate hotel. Go elsewhere. Toilet seat hanging off, bulb out in room, poor room service menu and quality. Not enough staff on front desk. Charge for internet despite assurances a year ago this would be changed. A tired-looking hotel that doesn't make the effort. 27 November 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable beds and pillows A good stay in a good hotel. There was a problem with my room, only discovered at lights out time. The problem was dealt with efficiently and followed up by management, however, maybe this problem could have been avoided at check in 25 November 2014
