The restaurant on site allowed us to order with just a few minutes before they closed, which was great because we were both tired and hungry. The facility was great but the staff was definitely what gives this place the edge! I HIGHLY recommend this hotel and I will be back myself! THANK YOU!!! August 27, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing stay I stayed at the HI Orangeburg because the power went out at a friend's place. We were able to book online and run over immediately. Staff were all friendly and the hotel was very nice. The lounge was good. We didn't make use of the restaurant or the pool but they both looked nice. My only minor quibble was it took awhile to figure out how to turn on the shower. It was nothing I had ever seen before. August 15, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Filthy Room I had stayed at this hotel a couple years ago and it was great. This stay was not good. Our room stunk, musty and of smoke. The bathroom vanity and toilet area was filthy. I did not want to take my shoes off. The air conditioner was out dated, loud, and Inefficient making it hard to sleep. They give you water when you check in but do not replenish the next day. They do not replenish the toiletries that you use either. I travel quite frequently and this was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. I will never go back to this hotel. August 15, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Pleasant Stay and Great Service From the time we checked in, almost every aspect of our stay was very good. We arrived well after midnight, and Will was very accommodating. We had a Jr. suite. The room was clean and large and contained a refrigerator and a microwave, and the bedding was excellent. The only problem we had with the room was the location of the air conditioning, which was right next to the desk where we had our computer. If we left the air off, the room became very warm, but when the air came on, it was blowing too cold on us if we were sitting at the desk using the computer. The bathroom and shower were very large. The only minor negative about the bathroom was that the lighting was not very bright. We had a problem with the shower head that the water would not shut off. We called the front desk, and almost before we could hang up the phone, someone was at the door and fixed the shower head. We liked that there were complimentary bottles of water in the room. Our reservation included a breakfast, and it was pretty good with excellent, fluffy pancakes some days. We were in New York for a high school reunion, and the hotel was well situated for where we needed to go. August 6, 2015
