Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Platinum member As a regular visitor to pear tree and a platinum member, I am always confronted with the same story of fully booked and unable to upgrade. It is very rare that an upgrade is available to me more often than not it isn't, I am as you will see if you check your records a regular in this hotel. Having experienced the upgraded rooms when this is not available the comfort and rest is by far reduced. The awarding of IHG points after a stay are very slow to be added to my account. On the plus side staff are all providing a high level of service. 18 November 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value family fun I stayed at the Holiday Inn Oxford with 3 children and had a wonderful, relaxing time. The staff engaged with the children and were exceptionally friendly. The lifeguard provided toys in the pool, which was luxurious and clean. It felt safe, and it was really lovely having a quiet drink in the lounge, reading the free newspapers and watching the headline. The children had a wonderful time, enjoyed their complementary hot chocolates, (once-off manager's treat) and there were no unreasonable pool time restrictions that you often find in other hotels. Children eat for free and the food was of a good quality and arrived swiftly at our table. The service was helpful and polite. The breakfast buffet was most welcomed in the morning, after a Jacuzzi start. The room was clean and spacious for the four of us, and having a bath is always welcoming. Just watch for WIFI restrictions as there it is not free in the rooms. Free parking, easy access into Oxford city centre and an ease of stay is always so appreciated. 12 November 2014
