Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely bad area Upon arriving to the hotel (after a near 8 hour drive from Zurich) the staff were extremely un helpful. I asked where the underground car park entrance was only to be pointed at in the direction of the exit. I drove around for a further 30 mins trying to find the car park or a parking space but was unable too. There was rubbish and graffiti outside, the whole front of the building was covered in scaffolding. By far this is the worst experience i have ever had with an IHG property and it was extremely disappointing. 17 November 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Room and Extremely Good Service Before we visited I was a bit wary because of other reviews indicating rooms weren't very good. All I can say is you pay for what you get. My husband and I had a suite and it was absolutely lovely. When I booked I could only get a double bedded room for our daughters, when we arrived there was a twin bedded room available which we were offered and accepted and it was really nice. The bar area was very small which we are not used to with Holiday Inns, however it turned out to be quite nice it was very relaxing the service was excellent and after a busy day sightseeing it was lovely and relaxing having a quiet drink before going out to dine. Only real problem was when we first arrived we couldn't find it due to renovation work outside, turned out to be funny really. 16 November 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good stay. Just some details to improve We stayed in Paris - Gare De L'est for 4 nights on November 2014. I was a bit 'worried because I red on web that the hotel is under renovation, but then I was pleasantly impressed and we stayed very well. We were allocated in a new room, nicely decorated, simple and very good clean. Our room was a "Standard": it was well furnished and equipped and the staff alike always courteous and helpful. The only negative note was that it was very very small: there is just the bed and space to move around are really tight. But it was still very comfortable The location is very good as well: certainly not in the zone 1, but it is perfect for all trips because it is very well connected to the CDG airport and to the heart and all the rest of the city. The price we paid was also right: I think it has a very good quality/price ratio. I think it can improve a lot with some better details: Some little noise because of construction in the other rooms. Maybe should be better working during appropriate times. And the doors maybe could be repainted with more care as well as other details and finishes of the hotel could not be more accurate. 14 November 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place but staff could be better I have stayed here twice in recent weeks for a total of seven nights. On the first occasion everything was great apart from the last day when I had a late checkout. Between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm I had no less that five people come to the door wanting to do something in the room or to see if I had left yet. At 1:30 I gave up and checked out. On the second stay we had the misfortune to stay in room 719. This is across the corridor from the housekeeping storage area. It appears that there is no door stop available to the housekeeping staff and they therefore use the door latch as a means of not having to unlock the door for entry. The end result of this is the door crashing against the door frame every few minutes - so hard that the bedroom walls shake. This starts at eight in the morning and made for a very unpleasant experience. Definitely not a room to stay in. 10 November 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by disappointing customer service nice hotel, but experience was ruined by rude staff. Given the wrong rooms and was eventually moved to another (very small) room. Staff were difficult and rude and made us feel very unwelcome. Disappointed. 07 November 2014
