Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by IHG Proprty Close to Transportation Hub Modern recently renovated Holiday Inn across the street from Paris' Gare D'Est station. The staff is helpful and you can check your bags early when you arrive and then head out to experience the town. It's within walking distance of the station and convenient to a wealth of restaurants and shopping. 08 April 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel, nice front desk, house keeping poor We stayed at the Holiday Inn Gare de l' Est for the second time in 3 years. We made the choice again because of the good location, near to the Gare de l' Est, metro station just beneath the hotel, restaurants nearby and because the last visit was very enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Meanwhile the hotel got a renovation, which made the rooms look very upscale. We chose a room upgrade - more space, bigger bathroom. Very nice. The staff at the front desk was very polite and helpful, to speak English was no problem. The breakfast was a nice one - especially for a gratuitous one. The only point we had to complain (and had that done at the front desk as well) was the room service. Something was missing every day. Fresh towels, toilet paper, the washcloth, the gratuitous tea or coffee, etc. If you had to phone for small items every day, it's annoying. And for the price we paid - for the upgrade as well - it's very galling. It' s a pity because it outshined the efforts most of the staff are making to satisfy the customers. And because of that, we will choose an other hotel next time. MI, Germany. 06 April 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Staff unresponsive to guest requests After 2 hours of attempting to get a tea kettle sent up to my room, with guest relations stating they were sending one up, I finally went down to the front desk only to be told at the time they did not have any left. Why they could not tell me that when I had called down to the front desk 3 times requesting one is beyond me. 06 April 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel close to public transport Holiday Inn Paris Gare De L'est is situated at a great location to access public transport to travel in Paris. The hotel is clean and comfortable with helpful, friendly staff who gave suggestions for travel and sightseeing. This was very helpful since it was my first visit to Paris. There are reasonable restaurants close by which was also convenient. The breakfast seemed a bit pricey for what was offered but there are places close by where we could get a good breakfast. 04 April 2015
