The hotel is very conveniently located next to the train station and with easy access to the subway system. The rooms are in excellent shape and the staff was very helpful.

Overall the hotel was warm,friendly and clean. This we could not fault.. Problem with our suite which was at the front of the hotel was the traffic. It never stopped and caused a loss of sleep. For the Orient Express it is the right hotel as the distance to the platform of the Gare de lest is just 100 yards.Breakfast was cold and chaotic.Asked for early morning call it never happened. Thank goodness I had set our alarm. The call was fro 7 oclock The Orient express was to leave at 09.13. No alarm and we woud have missed our Golden Wedding trip.

The area around the Gare is pretty shabby with lots of small hotels that have seen better days. However we were really delighted with the Holiday Inn that was really beautiful inside with a large room that was very quiet.
100 yards or less from the front of the station.

Based on my experience and view of the facility, it should be a Holiday Inn Express. I would have checked out the same day but went along with it because i only spent the night. The only plus were the receptionists who were excellent flag bearers of the IHG group.
Very unlike the Holiday Inn brands i've used over the last 20 years

It's not a cop who is checking people's records, but this hotel's temporary reception.
The man in black entered a wrong hotel. And all the other clients were waiting in a long queue for 20 minutes. No other reception came out.
And you have to climb one stair with your luggage.
A dog jumped out of the elevator. I never knew the pet was permitted in IHG hotel.
