Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing stay for Platinum Member This was my first stay as a Platinum Member. I really wasn't expecting anything special but I guess I was at least hoping to be taken care of a little bit better. After a long day of work, I just wanted to get to the hotel room, set up my work space and watch the football game. Unfortunately, there were several channels that were listed that just wouldn't work. Naturally, the one I wanted was one of them. I called the front desk and they sent someone to check it out. They came fairly quickly and said that this had happened before. He was going to see what he could do. He headed out the door. After about 20 minutes or more, I still had not heard anything. Meanwhile, I couldn't unpack or get work done or anything because I wasn't sure what they were going to do with me. I finally called the front desk and found out that they checked a couple of other rooms and determined that the TV worked fine in the other rooms. They decided to move me into another room. It was about 5 minutes before someone arrived with another room key - for the room right across the hallway. I just wanted to get in, get unpacked, set up my work area and get going. I didn't realize until I was trying to sleep that they put me right next to the elevator. Because of that, my sleep was not very good. Maybe I shouldn't have expected more but I guess I did expect that as a Platinum member, since there were issues, that I would get upgraded somehow. If nothing was available, maybe some sort of other offer. I guess I just need to lower my expectations... 28 November 2014
