Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Front Desk Staff ever!! We booked the Holiday Inn Pooler for our son's graduation from Georgia Southern in Statesboro. (The Holiday Inn Statesboro didn't have any vacancy). We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. From the moment we walked in, the front desk staff was so polite and helpful, we just love the staff at the front desk. They also took the time to recommend a restaurant for our son's graduation dinner, as we were not familiar with the area. We had a King room with a pull out sofa. The bed was extremely comfortable and provided great nights sleep, however, the mattress on the sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable. We went to the bar each night, and it was a nice ending to each day. I highly recommend this hotel for families of graduating students as well, it was a short drive to Statesboro without getting caught in all the graduation traffic each day, and a quick 10 minutes over to Savannah. We also used the shuttle, and it was quick and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. May 18, 2016

Pooler Ga. is about halfway there so I always stop and spend the night there. I have tried several of the different hotels in this area but find this one to be the best. May 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by better but not the best We originally had a booking at the Port Wentworth location. Due to sheets and bathroom being dirty in two separate room, we booked this location. It is a good location, however, on our return trip we stayed at the 11 Gateway Boulevard East , Savannah, GA 31419. It was less expensive, cleaner, and provided a better breakfast. April 27, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Front Desk Staff I had a somewhat late checkin (10 pm). The clerk was inattentive and made me wait while she finished her personal conversation with another employee. I certainly did not feel welcome. The room was fine but the staff's performance was poor. April 26, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Could improve Wasn't happy with the sofa sleeper as it had no sheets on it and there were none in the closet. My son didn't want to sleep in the same bed so he got the sofa sleeper. We left it open the next day as a hint for sheets and none were placed on it. The AC seem to go in to energy saving mode at night and the room became very warm and uncomfortable. Reception staff was very friendly, but other staff around the hotel seemed to not care if you like the hotel or not. Keycard stopped working and after a long day and slow elevator ride to the top floor, had to turn around and go back downstairs to get the card reactivated. Had to wait while other patrons were being assisted. I understood that, but it just added to an already looonnngg day. April 25, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel is okay. Not the best , but not the worst. When I arrived, it kind of looked a little shady in this particular area. Hotel lobby was presentable, checked in and got to my room, and had to go back downstairs to get my key reprogrammed... But the staff was very apologetic. Really wasn't a big deal. But what was; the Internet speed. S o , s l o w -- and the crying kids next door that I had to crank the TV up to drown out. other than that hotel was average, as far as cleanliness goes . Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A pleasant and comfortable rest after a high school reunion I'm a Canadian and I had attended a week-long reunion of high school friends (from 1967) at a Florida beach location. I was very sleep deprived at the conclusion of the reunion and, yet, was on the highway heading for South Carolina, where I was planning to visit cousins. I spotted the Holiday Inn at Pooler and thought I'd stop for the night -- but stayed two nights because I needed a good rest and to organize myself after that week with girlfriends from Florida and Canada. It was a lovely, quiet, comfortable rest -- got caught up on my sleep, reorganized my travel bag, visited a nearby bank's automated teller, ate in the hotel bar/restaurant and watched TV -- and just had some excellent downtime in comfort and safety -- and lovely clean surroundings. It was a real holiday. If I'd felt up to it, I would have driven back into Savannah for the festival, but I think parking was in short supply -- and I needed a day off the highway.
