This was our second stay ans we did use our Rewards Club Points this time to indulge ourselves and get a Weekend away from London.
The room we chose was an Executive Room... which is larger than Standard, but the let down impression was about the cleanliness of the room.
There was some hair on the bed, in the bath and behind the tap of the sink.
Also you can see that it might be time for a deep scale, dust and rust cleaning in the bathroom, as door handles, mirror support were not up to standards.
Maybe because I do work in Hotels, I cannot help but notice details.
The armchair in the room had 1 broken leg, and when we moved it to check if it was safe the sit on it, found a pistachio shell, which we did not eat so housekeeping did not hoover that part of the room for sure.
We loved the breakfast and the restaurant and bar, same as last time, food is good and quality is great!
All in all, we will be coming back definitely. We are not fussy guests as we are used to travel and work in Hotels, so we know how difficult things can be on a daily basis for different department and can only be a bit disappointed but nothing which cannot be fixed in due course.

For business, it was fine but not without problems. Some things never work properly. The pool, gym and the diner were great.

Have used this hotel several times and would come back again, the location is next to non giving you easy access to both Portsmouth and Southsea. Plenty to do round and about as well as walking to historical landmarks and nearby garden and lake.
Great place to stay and visit for all the family.
