Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by In need of a refurb - and staff training The Hotel looks tired and the public areas especially the carpets are in need of a change. The staff were polite but not overly helpful, I had to ask loads of questions when I checked in... leisure suite times and location, meals, rooms service , wi fi... The attendant in the leisure suite did not even get off the phone to speak to me, there was no shower gel/ shampoo in the showers so I had to go and get some liquid soap from the hand wash basin. My room was definitely not clean, fluff on the skirting board, the "desk" with the hairdryer was dusty and dirty inside. The stay was saved from total mediocrity by a good room service meal...no soup on the room service menu but they brought some, it was good, hot and tasty. The Guest Sheet in the room is a bit misleading as it says 24 hour service of snacks meals, breakfast, whereas in fact only 3 cold sandwiches and beans on toast available 24 hours. 03 March 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A nice hotel which needs a bit of TLC The rooms and public areas are in need of refurbishment and the Dining area is to some extent waisted by bland décor reminiscent of a transport cafe, which was a real shame as the food was well above average. Positives Clean rooms, attentive and friendly staff decent facilities and reasonably priced. 26 February 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good staff Although the remaining staff are extremely good and very friendly, I believe that due to cut backs the service at peak times is suffering. I'm a long term guest and I've had a chance to experience many rooms within the hotel, I can't say hand on heart that I've yet to discover a particularly comfortable bed, the heating in a lot of the rooms seem to have minds of their own (hot or cold), and the menu in both the bar and restaurant is long overdue a refresh. 24 February 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent!! Stayed here for valentines Day, staff were very friendly, including room cleaners etc. Room was spotless and modern with tv, wi fi, and shampoo, soap, in shower. Value for money, would stay here again. Went for swim and sauna, which was clean and warm. overall a great. experience. 23 February 2015
