Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room, friendly staff. We stayed recently for one night. Our room was very comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. Although we didn't have breakfast we have stayed at this hotel before and the breakfast then was excellent. Would definitely stay here again. 25 September 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service will return This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel first time was for a friends wedding. This time there were no details on the reservation that my 2 young children were with us ( a 3yr old and a baby )this was not a problem the lady on the front desk was very helpful and got housekeeping to put a fold up bed in for the 3yr old, by the time i got the luggage from the car it was done. The staff were very helpful which made for a lovely stay. The only downside is the £3 tray charge for room service which i though steep as i only wanted to stop my cranky exhausted son from disrupting other guests. 25 September 2013

The room provided everything we needed for a two night stay, although the bed was a little hard. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The restaurant provided a good range of breakfast options. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay One of the better holiday inns. The welcome was warm and friendly and very efficient. I am revising for exams so wanted a decent desk to work from and wasn't disappointed. The food on the room service menu was excellent value for money and the service very prompt and polite. Breakfast was great - again very efficient and friendly. As a woman on my own I felt safe and would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending it to others. 23 September 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wedding package I recently had my wedding at this hotel, from the moment I checked in with all my guests till the moment I checked out we were treated brilliantly. My wedding planner Sally had been such a big help all throughout the year and on the actual day Audrey was fantastic. All the staff must of work of worked so hard and you don't notice everything going on it just flows effortlessly throughout the day. I cannot thank the staff enough, the food was delicious, everybody is so friendly. We had the best wedding ever and the rooms were spotless. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. 05 September 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Happy Me and my boyfriend stayed here over the Creamfeilds weekend. Reception was very friendly and helpful and ordered a taxi for us to the festival! (however you can walk it in an hour). We were aloud to check in early which was very kind. The place was lovely and clean and our room was spacious with a large tv, hairdryer, hugeeeee window, sofa and clean bathroom. Considering there were many festival goers there the staff where very facilitating and welcomed us in with a smile at 4am! Despite people going in and out late at night, the rooms and corridors were very quiet and there was respect for other guests. I would recommend this hotel to everyone!!! 31 August 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not suitable for business users My initial impression of the Holiday in was very good. We started using them regularly, however they don't serve loyal customers very well at all. On one occasion when enquired about re booking again (within weeks of our previous booking) we were quoted more than double our previous rate. As a once loyal business user, we need consistency and to be able to trust our service providers. Holiday in room rates can rapidly increase when they are full, and despite a plea there is no room and consistency for loyal customers!! We have now gone else where, with better service and consistent and reliable pricing. 28 August 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing Stay There were a number of disappointing aspects to this one night stay in Runcorn, some of which were unusual in my experience of Holiday Inn: 1. The room provided was small and cramped. Although a booking was made clearly for 2 people, the room was set up as a single with towels, soap. etc for one. The wardrobe smelt polluted and dirty. 2. The swimming pool was fine, however most of the lockers in the men's changing room were broken with insufficient security. 3. On attending the restaurant for dinner, we were asked to wait in the bar as " there was a delay at the moment". When permitted to sit in the restaurant some 25 minutes later, we were surprised to find it largely empty, although no guests had left in the meantime. 4. It was surprising to be charged a "service charge" on the drinks obtained personally at the bar. 5. A newspaper was ordered at check in. This was not delivered the next morning. On enquiry at reception, I was told it had been delivered and probably stolen. Beware, not only poor security, but thieves apparently known in abundance! No action taken to provide alternative newspaper. 6. A visit to the lobby Gents toilet was not to be recommended. The lavatory was in a disgusting state under the toilet lid. 26 August 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely get away We were pleasantly surprised at how easy the hotel was to find off the motorway. Plus it looked much better in real life than on the internet. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. We didn't feel rushed to leave and even had seconds. The room was spacious and it was good to have a sofa to sit on as well as the bed. There was a wedding on when we got there but the service was still very good and staff were friendly. We would definitely recommend it and hope to stay there again. 22 August 2013

Food is excellent and reasonable price, plenty of seating to chill our and relax near the bar and although some of the rooms are a little small, they are clean and well furnished. 18 August 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Twins all the way It's convenient for the office I'm working at so I've stay here a lot. It's not a bad hotel, pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn. The internet service choice is slow, or expensive. Hope you have data on your phone. The hotel does not appear to have the right balance of twin to double rooms. If you're travelling alone on business, you'll probably get a twin. 07 August 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worst experience as a Platimum member First of all I wrote a complaint. to Customer Care on the day that I stayed here. A response was promised within 6 days. This has not appeared. I booked and had a confirmation for 2 rooms with double beds. I got to the room and it was single beds. I phoned to reception and asked whether they had got it wrong. I was told, we have no double rooms left and no executive rooms. I said that I should have been told at reception - no response. The room was OK but not even a bottle of water as an apology. It was a poor respose and for the 1st time I did not feel that being a priority member was important to them. My company is based at Runcorn and I have other places to stay which I will do in future. One positive was the waiter who served us at dinner. He was the usual quality of HI staff and was a great help with the winr. Sorry not impressed and not recognised for using HI over the years. 16 July 2013
