Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Bayside no view This hotel is very confusing with several buildings all looking different. I understand one "Tower" is new but as a Priority guest I was placed in the building furthest from the lobby and "newer" rooms with a view of the parking lot. The curtains in the room did not close completely so I had a light shining into the room all night. You have to walk outside on the public sidewalk to get from one building to the next. Rain or shine. Pool area under construction and fenced off. They did provide hairdryer, iron and board, but no safe in the room for valuables. Front desk staff seemed completely indifferent when I checked in and out. Did not offer to have my bags carried to my room which was "down the sidewalk" 3 buildings away! The bright spot is the service in the restaurant was very on top of things and pleasant. Also the gift shop clerk was a delightful lady and very personable and helpful. 03 March 2015

My husband was having back trouble during our stay and Keith drove us to our room in a golf cart and took care of all the luggage. Greg, Irene, and one other waitress were very nice and gave us great service at the restaurant. Very nice experience overall. 25 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable, clean and convenient My family and I stayed four nights during February, while vacationing in San Diego. The hotel was conveniently located, with easy freeway access, close to food and beverage stores, and with a nice view over the Marina. The we stayed in a double queen room on the third floor in the new building, and apart from a little traffic noise in the morning rush hour it was a quiet room. The beds were really comfortable, the room and bathroom very clean and well kept. Only fault was the shower water pressure was poor. Would definitely stay again, and recommend to other travelers. 25 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Attentive Staff and extremely clean property Stayed at the Holiday Inn Bayside while on a business trip to San Diego. Couldn't be happier with the hotel. Staff, from Front Desk to housekeeping were all very friendly and attentive. Property was extremely clean in all areas I visited. The room I had faced the road so there was noise from the traffice and the backup sound from the shuttle but that could not be helped. That was really my only reason for not sleeping "extremely well". Beds were comfortable with adequate pillows. 24 February 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonable hotel spoilt by upgrading I took some time selecting this hotel. I was therefore very disappointed that there was no mention that quite a number of the facilities were out because of improvements being made. The rate was not cheap when compared with other locations. To be fair the manager did all that he could to mitigate the issue. However having travelled all the way from the UK I was extremely disappointed 22 February 2015
